My Punto gets a month old.

Today my car completes the First month of ownership.
In this one month, I have been congratulated atleast 10 times and during two occations people had parked there vehicles come to the car and were asking about it. It sure feels great to be driving this beauty.

I am also glad to say that My car has surivived each and everyday on bangalore roads without a single scratch which even my bike was unable to do.

Today i had to visit the dealership as my bonnet refused to open up. It was all done in a matter of 10 mins at the dealership and the car is back to normal now. I also mentioned the problem with the seat height adjuster and the guy replied that he will look into it during the first service as the service is due in the next 500 Kms.

I really dont understand why people are cribbing about the turing radius of the Punto. I personally havent faced any issues with the turning radius. for me it sure feels like a great improvement over the palio adn the turing radius is not as bad as it is made out ot be for a vehicle which is almost 4m long.

Your car looks stunning bhagath. I haven't seen a grey punto in bangalore so if i do, I will shout out your name :-) . BTW, the cramped dead pedal position and the cabin noise were some significant drawbacks that keep getting mentioned by many in the forum. IS this you something that you practically experience ?

Hi rganeshiyer,

Yes there is cabin noise which gets louder as the rpm builds up, but its not so bad as it is made out to be because for a diesel its not the tak tak sound its kind of like the engine wants to roar.
In petrol you my even fall in love with the engine note . If, I had a petrol I would had switched off the music player just to hear the engine note.

Regarding the footwell i havent found it to be cramped under city driving conditions, where we will always have to be ready to press the clutch. But yes when ever i try to use the foot rest then the clutch touches the foot at some point, but its not much that it distubs while driving.

Hi Klub Class,

I first saw the white punto while my car was about to be delivered, it was a dynamic the white punto with black grill is a killer. I had my doubts with the silver grill and white (which i though it may not go along ) but after seeing your pictures it looks good too. By the way the camera is a Canon S5

Congrats for a great car, just take the car on highways am sure you will relish her highway dynamics and the breaks, awesome for a hatch by any standards.
Seems to be punto owners are brilliant photographers or is it due to punto their owners are turning photographers,

Beautiful photographs. The dark shade of clouds is a great contrast to pristine red color of the Punto.

Which location is this?
