My New Swift Dzire Vdi

Hi Guys!

Finally the wait is over and I have got delivery of my new car "Swift Dzire Vdi, I think after reading other threads of people waiting for Dzire for more than 3-4 months, I was lucky to get it in 2 months 12 days only (thanks to the dealer from the bottom of my heart!!). Well I am posting this bit late (as I got car on 6th Oct'09). My experience with the dealer was quite pleasant, the salesman was kind enough to update me with the booking status!

Althought, its not my first car (I have been a maruti loyal customer) I was quite excited about this car because it is my first diesel car, selected after spending hours reading reviews and ownership report on T-Bhp. Thanks to you guys for making my selection easy and perfect!

Well, gentlemen now presenting swift dzire with some serious changes already made on the 3rd day of purchase. So here I go.

Changed stock rims with 15" alloys, bought set of 4, stepney is still the stock one, have selected yokohama 205/55/R15 S-drive for the alloys, If you notice in the pics I got the mudflap removed to make the tires more visible!! !

Grip of the car on the road has drastically increased after the tires change, though the steering feel slightly heavy but got more confidence now! Can somebody tell me how much the average figures will come down?

Apart from these serious changes also got Garware sun film on the windows, the good thing is I managed to get a single piece of flim on the rear glass, using those flim heating method!

These two changes has already made my dzire a head turner, even got few queries for price and availablity of alloys

Planning for the reverse assistance camera and good floor mats!

And for rest of modifications I am waiting for you guys to give some expertise suggestion!

Here are some pics taken from the mobile camera.

P.S: Searching for "Kala Dhaga" taki nazar na lage

Congratulations on your new Car, and very nice looking tyres.

How's the engine noise inside the cabin?

Did you really need 205s on the Dzire? Any plans of pete-ing it?

Car looks cool with the alloys
The ribbon on the bonnet doesn't (just my opinion).

Thanks SLK,

Since car is brand new, the engine noise is hardly felt inside the cabin, I will rather wait for couple of months to comment on this!

Not really, 195s could also have done justice to the Dzire and more or less equally comfy ride but 205s looks amazing so I selected them !

I am enjoying the stock power as of now but may be in future I might do some experiment with Pete's box! Can you tell me about the availablity in Delhi with approx price?
Thanks!

Congrats on your new ride
your 1st post in this forum and that too with a new car. Please introduce yourself.
The alloys look awsome. how is the ride quality with the 55 profile?
You may think of upgrading the headlights.
how much for the alloys?
Dont worry about NVH it can only get better with more mileage on the odo.

Thanks Goangude!

I did introduce myself @ http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/introd...hpian-now.html

The ride quality with new 15" alloys and 55 profile tires has improved significantly, car is no longer behaving harsh on bad roads (as you know Delhi is full of potholes ). Yokohama S-drive is a soft tire meant for the high speed, and having said that one also need to very careful while driving on a bad road as it can get burst easily if hit hard by stone at high speed.

I was planning to upgrade the headlight, but haven't done much research on that, may be 6000k HID would be enough (any idea on price & brand?)

The 15" alloys set of 4 costed me Rs.16500.
