I know this is bit late to put a post, but here it is after three months of extensive honeymoon with my Aquarius Fiesta S.

Baying a Car: It all started around Early 2009 when I got a good deal for a second hand Maruti Zen from a friend who was going for a new Verna and wanted to sell his 5 year old ride, till that time I never thought of baying a car for myself as I was very much happy with my Karizma and freedom of riding a bike. But some how that deal got called off, leaving me with a bug of baying a car

So called Final decision: Based on the feedbacks/road tests/user reviews and so on, I finally zeroed on to buying Swift VDI and was about to book one for me but never knew that’s not the one I will be driving in future.

Potential Decision Turner: And then one day I saw a blue car standing in some road display\show near HiTech City. I did not knew that it was a Ford and that too a Fiesta. Frankly speaking I never liked Fiesta especially earlier ones, I felt front was too boring and outdated, but there was something different about this one, something so different that I kept staring at her.

Test Drive: I took the first test drive at the road show itself and my over all experience was WOW what a car. I personally liked black interiors and the way dashboard was designed. The drive was vary good, felt ease in taking it around and, the most fun part was the exhaust note, raved it hard, drove fast and loved every bit of it. Taken one more test ride along with my wife following week.

Final Decision: It was love at the first site and there was nothing much left to look around for. The only constraint was the budget which was shooting up by around 2 L and was going to put some strain on my pocket in coming months. But there was no turning back.

And the Villain: Due to the so called recession banks became unforeseen villain and ruined my happiness, HDFC turned down my loan application stating issue with the stability (Switched three employers in less than a year). Got same response from other financers.

Finally: After long wait of around five months I finally booked S on 10th of Aug, loan got approved in one day by Axis bank and again long wait started for the delivery as S was not available in stock with the dealer (Fortune Ford).
Finally it arrived in Hyderabad on 19th and decided to take delivery on 21st (My better half’s birthday)
Had a good experience at the dealer on delivery, every thing went smooth, did PDI and everything looked in order except the odometer reading which was 67 Kilometers, on enquiry dealer representative told that they drove the car from stock yard to showroom which was around 17 Km away.

Review Till Date:

Km covered: 2230
Max Speed achieved: 120 Kmph

Revs:
For first 1000 Km – Maxed up to 2500 but mostly kept around 2000
1000 to 1500 Kmph – Maxed to 3000
1500 onwards – Upto 3500
2000 Onwards – Maxed up to 4500. After first service and oil change will be going crazy.

Mileage: Rough guess is it’s 10 KMPL (Drove only in city with 100 % AC).

Fuel Used:
For First 1500 Km: Speed 91
1500 Km onwards – Switched to normal petrol from IOC on Ford service engineer recommendation.

Accessories: Installed 3M CS 50 Side + Back (Will be switching to 3M CR 40 side + back after this winter).
Installing Llumar AIR 75 on windshield coming Wednesday.

Interior:

+
 Good front seats
 Delight to hold steering wheel
 Very well laid out, simple dashboard
 AUX port
 Not so bad ICE
 Good exterior noise isolation
--

 Not so good plastic used
 Cramped rear seat
 No cup holders

On the Road:

+

 Very good handler
 Precise steering
 Good acceleration
 Adequate breaking
 Head turner

--

 Bumpy ride on rough roads. Every bump gets filtered into the cabin; need to keep a hawk eye on the road
 Whatever it is, may be the hard suspension or poor built quality clatters are generating in the cabin mainly from the dashboard.

Problems:

1. Sharp thud sound from the steering column
2. Very annoying clatters from the dashboard on rough roads
3. Some noise from rear right door

And the Worst:

Today got hit by a biker from right side which left a one inch dent on rear right door and damaged wheel arch.:Frustrati

Going to dealer coming Monday for first free servicing, hope everything gets sorted out.

1) Congratulations
2) Fisesta is not known to give rattles in early life.
3) The suspension is slightly on the stiffer side. Nothing wrong here. As speed increases, the ride gets better.
4) You have a good control over your driving. Keeping low revs in Fiesta is not an easy task. I appreciate your patience.
5) No need to panic, but for a new car, generally readings are below 50kms. 17+17 = 34. Lets add 10, so 47, but 67 kms is slightly on higher side, but locations of stockyard, RTO, etc play a role here.
6) In my city, I am not having good experience with IOC. Prefer to go for COCO ( Company Owned Company Operated ) fuel station.

Congratulations ! The 1.6S is raining these days in t-bhp. Please post some pics.

Fiesta S looks very hot with those lovely alloys and bodykit especially in blue. Please post some pics of your ride.

Congrats! I picked up my 1.6S recently as well and it's been amazing so far.

Look closely. You will find 2 cup holders. And plenty of space in the doors to keep bottles as well. ;)

2 blue 1.6 S reveiws in a day. Good going team.

Kidding Dipant. We need them because Aquarius Fiestas are like porn here. Bring on the damn photos son!

Congrats on the 1.6S!
BTW, were you by any chance near Croma on Road No. 36 around 7:00 PM today (well, yesterday, (21st Nov)?
I spotted a "FOR REGN." 1.6S and guessing it must have been you!

Hmm... remembering the day when one of my friend had got the first 1.6S in Hyd and the RTO registered it as a SXi as they had no idea about this car! :)

One more proud owner to add in the fiesta club.
Nice write up

But post some photgraphs soon

Cheers !
Enjoy - Drive safe

Thank You, Aaggoswami. First 1000 Km were easy, after that it was a tough ask but somehow I managed. COCO is a good idea, will try to find one.

That cup holders are not convenient for driver. I like the ones provided in central console of Accent.

Here are few pics, hope you guys will like them.:)

Nice pics Dipant. Wonderful car, great choice of colour.

Hi Dipant,

Nice pics !
Doesn't the S come with mud flaps or atleast wouldn't you like to have an aftermarket one fitted ??

Nice photo's
What about interiors?

Also seems the fuel lid do not have any sticker (petrol/Diesel)?
Please get it from the dealer or otherwise chances are there as in some petrol pumps the attendents may fill different fuel, then you had it?
