Well said RGK, well I am also confused with the FE figures reported by team Bhpian's. I hope Ford will note and take care of FE related issues.

Does anyone have any readings or experience on the 1.2 Petrol Figo?
So far there has been only posts on the Diesel Figo, will love to hear from some Petrol Owners as well apart from Test Drives.

IMO, its a way for road noise to filter into the cabin! However, cost cutting has to be done at places to bring out the car at such VFM prices.

@gemi: How did you figure out from the pic whether they are drive-by-wire, or not?

Hmm, interesting thought, might just be true. But like you said, fair enough in a car offering good value for money.

The rubber boot will become necessary if there are rats in the surrounding area. I had faced the problem of rats entering into the cabin in my old Zen. Once rats enter in the cabin, it is very difficult to get rid of the bad smell. I had to make some sort of wire mesh boot and fix it there. However getting this area covered with something is always better. So I suggest you guys to fix some sort of rubber bellows in this area.

Does the Fiesta or Ikon come with a rubber cover on that linkage?

You mean for the steering rod behind the clutch, I think sanjayc confirmed that even Fiesta does not have it.

Tank full to tank full readings corroborated with Digital display. The digital display in GP is very accurate. He is not a light footed driver either and makes use of the turbo time and again.

I had booked my white Titanium TDCi pon Saturday.
After that I read this mega thread over the weekend, and felt re-assured, because I had been on the verge of buying the Punto instead!

Just wanted to ask. Does adding of parking sensors(sonars) on the Figo void the warranty?

I was actually quite disturbed with this thing. Good to know that ford knows the exact cars and that they are being recalled. Really Great Work.

Got my first service done today. And regarding the mudflaps breaking they found some long scratch marks on the underbody. So it seems the flaps gave away when the cars hit something under. I find it strange that i did not hear anything while the underbody took that hit. I am assuming it happened during that highway run in heavy rain. Maybe the heavy rain falling on the car subdued the noise of the hit. Anyways for the time being i have not fixed the new flaps. I just removed the front two ones. Would get it fixed later. Will post more about the service experience in my ownership thread.

That is real good then. I never thought we could get so much average. My friend who has a punto emotion mjd is getting only around 15-16 in city. I was always thought that that was the maximum possible in city limits. Maybe i need to learn to drive a diesel better. That makes me feel sad that i am getting only around 14 in full city traffic.
