Out of 7210 figos delivered in March 2010, 35% were petrol figos

Absolutely. I have the same habit of shifting gears based on pulling and engine comfortness rather looking into RPM's which I shared in this or gemi's ownership thread. Once the engine is comfortable for the next gear I feel it is the time to upshift rather waiting for more RPM. RPM based driving will help you in have the car in power band always and may result in lesser FEs'.

Anyone saw the Polo Diesel ad today. He's claiming 22kmpl. Thats around the Ritz Diesel figure.

But if you add the Capital cost of the car with the running cost, then the Figo has spectacular mileage. :)

To add to RGK
Shifting RPM should instinctively vary depending on Load, Traffic, Gradient, Road Surface regardless of Petrol or Diesel.

@Brix: Polo is a brilliant car, and the only thing sour about it is the 3 cylinder noisy motor. The un-refinement of the engine does not match the rest of the car.

The pics of the white Figo by rejoycjohn made it look like a far better looking car than in most pics. The right kind of sun film will only add to that look.

Booked my White, EXI, Petrol in Fortune Ford, Hyderabad on April 7th. Still no word about delivery.

Folks, Any idea about how long delivery is taking as the EI would only come with a black dash.

The pics posted of the white Figo by Rejoy makes the car look better than in most other pics. The right sun film will only add to the look.

Folks. Any idea about Figo's waiting time. I paid the advance on April 7 in F'tune, Hyd for a while, petrol, EXI. It only comes in black dash.

That's the total no. of cars including Figos, Fiestas, Ikons and Endys. Figo is probably about 5K. It will increase only after the second shift starts.

@rejoycjohn: The car looks the coolest and the shot from the back makes it look a pure European. What make are the Alloys and is the Clearance Enough to handle the Upsize?

Alloys with the related accessories cost 21 K for a set of 4 . We exchanged the stock tyres and got 195/55 R15 Yokohama S drive .


@rejoy; 15" wheels on figo will affect the ride quality rite ? How do you find the ride and the turning radius ?
Also with 15" every time you hit a pothole the tyre might hit the sidewalls.. whats your take on that ??

  2. Why two different models for Brazil and India which seem to be derived from the same parent?
  3. The rear windows are powered. But do they come all the way down?

Nice find. Looks more like the Fiesta MK-V, from the back.
Answers:
  1. I would prefer the local one, but I like the Double Barrel headlamp here.
  2. Cost could be a major reason. Brazil also has Ford Eco-Sport, a larger Fusion with 4WD.
  3. The rear windows do not come down fully in the Fusion and Figo and last gen Fiesta. Chances are, it wont come down fully in this as well.

Surprisingly it does not get the European Spec Headlamp switch and actually has a stalk mounted lever for everything.

Very sporty dials. Definitely looks richer than the Figo.

The Key Fob is better on the Figo I guess with everything integrated into one.

The dials look more complete that on the Figo. Note that the speedo is marked only till 200kmph. It also has a temperature readout.

The interiors are definitely a lot better than the Gigo.

My dealer at Mangalore(Cauvery Ford) is quoting 18000 for the 8 spoke alloys and 4350 for the fog lamps. When asked about the titanium pack, he said that is only for demo cars.

Guys whats the difference you feel b/w the Brazillian Figo and Indian Figo here?

Seeing the pictures, the brazilian figo has more additional features than Indian counterpart. It is pity that still India is rated low among the developing countries..
