Thanks. How much did the speaker change cost you? And do give details.

The speakers (JBL 8628 5x7 inch) cost me 3500/- a pair. Installation done at Autoshop, Koramangala. They fit perfectly into the recesses made for the stock speakers. Result: huge difference in sound - the stock speakers were one-way, and the tweeter on the JBLs gives a new dimension to the high-mid and high frequency band. The lows now go lower, and sound tight and clear. They are bright, just like most JBLs, but for the music I listen to, they suit me just fine.

Mileage update: I got 17.1 kmpl ( 42 liters for 720 km). A/C on 80% of the times with 80% of the time position at fan speed 1 and a/c knob at half blue! current ODO reading ~2000KM and am running at 33 PSI laden with 2 people!

By the way the engine in the lower gear sounds like a tractor ( well almost) did any one find the same with their figo 1.4? It used to be much more silent initially!!!!

Small niggle: not used to the radial dial switch for the headlights, insted of the usual stick, I often forget to switch off the lights; need to unlock and then turn the lights off!

Updates on the squeaking sound and the fist therapy -
It did not work for me. I tried it for a few times, then suddenly the sound disappeared. After I went on a bad road again, the sound started coming back. Though the noise level has reduced, it's still there. I could actually press that rivet like thing at the back with my hand and it does make the same sound :(

@anilsaini
I experience exactly the same thing, the engine sounds different, a lot more noisier than it was initially. I am at around 1900 Kms. Planning to go to Planet Ford next Saturday for the first servicing. Could you provide details of your 720 Km travel? How much of city travel in that? If its all city, then its a real cool mileage!!
I will be travelling to Kolhapur this weekend, so I think I will check what mileage I am getting on the highway.

But the alarm goes off when you remove the lock with lights on, no?

Got my USB Aux cable today.

Hi TNAWAYAJ,

I also own a Ford Figo Zxi Diesel n i think the stock ones are also good in terms of producing bass n treble. Just wanted to know the make, model and size of the stock speakers. Also need an update on the stock cd player (Brand n model number)

Thanks

Some more pics of my friend's figo on our trip to Mangalore

Hello Dinesh , yes they are OEM spoilers . We decided on the oem ones as we had a bad experience with after market spoilers in i10 and swift which started rattling after a while .
They cost 6K .

Thanks again for the comments :-)

All the ICE equipment in the Figo are Ford branded. The speakers are made in China, and I guess the HU will be also. The size of the speakers is 5x7" overall, but the size of the cone is actually a little smaller.

If they suit you fine, nothing like it, you can save some money! :thumbs up

I remember the SA telling me that the HU and speakers are of Kenwood. Not sure if we can verify that!!

A very very handsome Figo. I'd have to admit - white is the best color. Realyl stands out. And the accessories are also good. The Figo spoiler, I have to admit, is too expensive.
