Hi Teambhpians,
Today I could find some time for photoshoot again.
In last 2 months I have called the dealer 5-6 times for model car, but he was not showing any interest. When I have visited my hometown (Ahmednagar), I enquired at Hundekari Motors for Linea Toy car model. Surprisingly one was available. Immediately I rushed to the showroom and 'owned' it.
Premier Padmini Taxi model is 1:18 size and actually a motorized toy car (plastic body)with radio remote. I 've posted video of the same at youtube and the drag note really resembles with that of FIAT.
The Linea is 1:43 size and has metal body with simple push mechanism for rolling the wheels. It is quite sturdy as original Linea.
It is one more feast with toy models.

CAll from FIAT, Italy

Dated 12th Jan'11
Hi all,
Today I just landed at airport and while coming out I got one ISD call (+3902896261). I was thinking he may be my cousin but got a pleasant surprise. The lady was from FIAT Italy Mktg division and requesting me for 15-20 mins of ownership review. She requested convinient time and since my journy back 2 home is aroun 45 mins, I told I am free right now.
She asked about overall performance, milege, stability. Then she asked in detail about electrical parts/switches, dashboard accesories, steering, engine bay, suspension, braking system, all handles/levers. I told my initial problem of scratching noise from right front wheel and it was solved within a week.
Then she asked about how many FIATs owned by family. After telling total 04 since 1962, she really got pleased.
Finally she asked about ratings,
1. dealership experience - I gave 9/10
2. Service- 9/10
3. car performance- 10/10
4. milege - 14 kmpl
5. Will you buy FIAT car in future - I told , I'l by only FIAT cars in future, if possible I'l recommend to my son also.
I also gave address of **************** (she was aware of) and teambhp- Fiat Classic club of Hyd(FCCH) in vintage car section.
She just laughed and said "Thanx Sir, you are very interesting and esteemed customer for us"

Re: Il mio fantastico "Stallion Nero" FIAT Linea !

Visited Chilkur balaji temple after Pongal. On the way i could not resist to stop at Himayatsagar dam for a quick photosession.
The way I am spotting new Lineas and Punto since last month, i really doubt the sales figure (275) is true or not?
Today I saw 1 Linea n 2 puntos while going, n surprisingly 1 punto n 1 linea in Parking lot.
In Hyd I saw minimum 2-3 puntos n 1-2 Linea per 100 cars approx. Even if we consider minimum so FIAT share is around 3%.
Let us wait for Jan'11figures. I think true picture will come out.
Also set Trip A milege counter. Total trip was 86km. And mileage shown on display was 6.3 l/ 100km=15.87 kmpl.
I was expecting the same on highways.

FIAT Funday in Hyd!!!

FIAT Funday!! Proud to be a FIAT owner!!!
Firts good news for all. Proud to own 2nd prize as team-bhpians in Petrol Linea 1.4L category.

1st prize Mr Narayanan = 15.xx kmpl
2nd Prize Fiat&Me = 12.28 kmpl

It was amazing and well planned FIAT funday. The event was organised by all dealers of Hyd (concorde/tejaswini/Autofin) with FIAT.
It started with a warm welcome at Tejaswini Motors, Hyd at 10:00am. They served good snacks and tea for family and provided driver to goto nearby petrol pump for fuel top up (by owner's expenses). They pasted rally stickers and asked to line up in fornt of showroom. All owner's had a nice meeting session by 11:30 with warm hospitality and tea n snacks. They sealed fuel lid of all cars and recorded initial reading. Also gave a complete route map with check points. Mr Puneet and team (Around 50 dedicated FIAT officials with white T-shirt and red cap with FIAT logo)flagged off the rally and almost around 55-60 Lineas/Puntos started towards "Dhola-re-dhani" a Rajasthan village.
At every check point FIAT team ( A punto with 2-3 FIAT officials with FIAT flag) was checking each car for sealing and marking on the sheet.
Drive was 36-37 kms from Madhapur. Last check point was petrol pump opposite Dhola re dhani where each car was again topped up with a reading of fuel. At this point the end speedometer was noted and we are asked to go to Rajasthan village which is just opposite.
Around 9-10 FIAT officials were waiting and welcoming every participant with a warm greetings. We handed over our forms there. The inside arrangement was absolutely 3-star. Good lounge, stage show, fun games for ladies, couples, childrens. There was a magic show . After almost 1.5 Hrs of fun, there was a lunch.

After lunch prizes were delacred. Fortunately I got 2nd position in 1.4L Petrol Linea with A/c with a milege of 12.28 kmpl in city with full traffic. (actually I have started my Trip A at starting point, its reading says 6.9 l/100 km = 14.49 kmpl) It may be because at the petrol pump after rally, the person overflowed the tank and almost 200ml petrol was thrown out( He must be taking that 2.9L bill from officials)
It was absolutely FIAT Fun day. Well managed, organized, good hospitality, courteous infos, person to person interaction and sheer enjoy.
It was also shoot by NTv for quite some time. The best milege given was FIAT Punto 1.3 diesel with 28 kmpl.( The engine on which half of the India runs ( Indicas, Indigos, Manzas, Swifts and Swift Dzires)
Three cheers for FIAT!!!!! Hip Hip Hurray !!!!! keep it up!!!!!

Photosession will follow............

Re: Il mio fantastico "Stallion Nero" FIAT Linea !

Fiat&Me,.

Congratulations on your black stallion.
Could not agree more.

Funnily, our house has 3 cars,

1. Pre owned 118NE (1993 model, bought in 1996), our first FIAT. Donated to Iskon, 6 months ago.
2. New Palio Sport bought in 2002,
3. New Linea MJD Emotion bought in 2009

Never thought of ourselves as a FIAT fan or family. But turns out that we have had 3 FIATS.

Take care and happy driving.

Really heartening to know about the event. Not sure if this was a multi-city event, and is it being planned out in other cities as well.

I feel this is one good way to let people know that FIAT cars are good for mileage as well.

Alas.. I read your post too late, by the time I removed those ribbons, the white bonnet had 2 red diagonal lines..

While it went for the First service, the advisor told me there's nothing they can do about it as the car paint has absorbed the color from the ribbon.

From now onwards, removing the ribbons is the first thing I'm doing on buying a new car.
