Re: Kashmir : Nature's bewitching drama !!

When words fail a person, one can safely say that they have been touched deeply by something and silence seems to be the best way to express oneself. Its at times like this that our egos, prejudices, hate, anger crumble and kneel before the magic of nature, embracing it and becoming a part of it, just like a child who has returned to his mothers warm hug. It is at times like this that one gets lost in the overwhelming joy, and I wish and hope to get lost like that time and again.

And through out the travelogue, though you were trying to put your experiences, I felt, and am quite sure, that you were actually unable to express yourself, which speaks of the great experience you had. Great Travelogue and great effort to put your experience in words for the sake of fellow T-Bhpian's.

Re: Kashmir : Nature's bewitching drama !!

DKG,

Thank you for the superb set of images from the Paradise on Earth.

I had a sneak peak on what Kashmir has to offer when we traveled to Srinagar from Leh by road a couple of years back. Thanks for bringing back the memories, esp of Sonamarg & Dal Lake.

Another Road trip to Leh is being planned for September and we intend to return via Srinagar hopefully I will be able to get an extra day or two squeezed in to see more of this Paradise

5 stars added.

Deepak,

A beautiful thread representing, maybe/ just a bit of what Kashmir is.

This is one place I have not been to, In 85 the whole family went but I opted out due to some silly reason here, and to this day regret it. Thanks for taking me there momentarily.

I am sure there are more beautiful images to follow. What you have already posted is magic. The Himalaya's, Valleys, Pines, Gardens and the flora are just mesmerizing.

When you are free I will need to take atleast a few classes on photography from you.

Thanks for sharing.
Regards,

Re: Kashmir : Nature's bewitching drama !!

This is one of the most beautiful travelogues I've ever seen in TBHP. When one says Kashmir then all these beautiful images come to mind and with your photographs those become reality. Thanks a ton for sharing this treasure. I'm also planning to visit Kashmir clubbing with Ladakh trip. May be won't be able to spend as much time as it required but after seeing these photographs, I really don't want to miss Kashmir.

Do let me know if I can join you on the road trip in my own mini truck. It would be fun and a pleasure.

Fantastic !! That would really be so much fun. This time around I plan on doing the Bangus valley too which people in Kashmir said was exceedingly pretty and completely off the tourist map. There are some more locations which are not on the tourist circuit but very beautiful I am told, hope to cover those too.

DKG,
Very well narrated travelogue. As you felt it in person, the surprises kept coming in the TL as well.

Indeed, Kashmir is Paradise on earth and strongly feel that the next best experience of the feeling after your writeup, is just being there.

Thanks for sharing,

-Sameer.
