Hi friends,

Let the snaps speak more than the words. So, i'm not writing more.

England to Scotland trip:
We are 5, myself with 3 of my colleagues (2 bachelors & 1 newly wed couple) rented a VW Golf, booked Travelodge for night stay.
Day 1:
Start from Home (Milton Keynes) early in the morning towards Balckpool pleasure beach. Enjoyed the rides and started towards Lake district. Direct to Windermere Boat cruise for about 2 hours. Night stay @ Carlisle.

Day 2:
Carlisle to Edinburgh. Enjoyed each and every mile of drive. Eye catching sights, green green & green. Spent 4 hours in Edinburgh Castle and then 3 hours in Royal Yacht Britannia. Night stay at Edinburgh

Day 3:
Edinburgh to Fort William. Again full of green, misty, fog & the green peaks covered with clouds. Spent time in Lochness and Urquhart Castle. Night stay at Galsgow

Day 4:
Rain spoiled our plan in glasgow. Went to Safari park and spent half day then started the drive towards Birmingham Balaji Temple. Back to home by 11.00 pm

Beautiful photographs, Mr Boss.. Absolutely loved them! I wish you could take the time to write a bit more about the drive, though. Must have been breathtakingly picturesque. (Or maybe that's why uploaded just the pictures..)

Am sure this is a drive you will cherish for a long time!

Hahaha! I'm just opposite to you, my battery (in Nikon P500) will drain before reaching the last destination. That's why kept my Canon IXUS 105 & Sony W310 as spare.

Very beautiful pics and good photography. After seeing these pictures i am getting tempted to travel to England where my sister lives and she has been inviting me since a long time and i have been postponing it.

It is my 1st driving experience in UK. We preferred to take the motor ways as much as possible. Never felt difficult to drive here as 99% of the drivers are disciplined & maintained the lane except a few but not worse as we face in India

Day 1 we started early in the morning purposefully to avoid the traffic but we never thought that was the mind set of all the travelers. Motor way was flooded.

We had our first break in Blackpool after covering 192 miles and had breakfast and went for a walk in the beach. Water level increased and that is clearly noticeable with eyes. Within 10 minutes water reached us. No waves, it is a silent beach which i never liked. Then we enjoyed the rides in Pleasure beach.

Driving on Day 2 & 3 was awesome, full of green and eye catching. We spent more time in taking snaps on the way to destination. 1300+ snaps from my camera alone. Route from Edinburgh to Lochness & Lochness to Glasgow I would like to travel everyday, covering small forests, number of Lakes and green green and green sights.

Everyday before starting our journey the first thing we look for is either Mc Donalds or KFC Many times we missed some of our planned only because of these two.

Since we planned this tour in the last moment we didn't get any other choice for the car. I liked everything in Golf except the rear hump. It is very difficult for the person to sit on the center seat (luckily I never got chance to sit there) Engine is bit sluggish (its a petrol car and may be because it was driven by many hands) Suspension & steering behavior was excellent at high speeds over 80mph. AC was not so impressive for the rear bench. Overall visibility is perfect. Wonderful NVH packaging. Gear shifting is butter smooth. Lottt of boot space.
