Bumping up this thread. Any idea about the recent road conditions on this coastal route palghar - boisar - dahanu - bordi - umargam - nargol - Daman? I am planning to do Thane - NH48 - Charoti (left turn) - kelwa - palghar - boisar - dahanu - bordi - umargam - nargol - Daman. Any suggestion will be helpful.

Not sure about the current route conditions, though they were good pre-monsoon, as a friend of mine did do a Biking(one day) Ride to Udwada and back thru this route.

I am planning to do Thane - NH48 - Charoti (left turn) - kelwa - palghar - boisar - dahanu - bordi - umargam - nargol - Daman. Any suggestion will be helpful.

Also, Once you take the left from Charoti, you're already within touching distance of dahanu So Kelwa-palghar-boisar(Left turn from Manor I guess) are left far behind. The inner roads from Kelwa-Palghar-Boisar are not something i would know about, but I'm sure they aren't too much to write about...So best to avoid going that route. I'm almost a local in bordi(childhood) so that stretch will have a bit of village traffic & 'just ok roads' right upto umargaon, and the scenery and the road gets better from there.
