Buddy, you just made my day!!!!Unfortunately, Mods allow only 2 smileys!!
Had one query though - Did you need 4wd to transverse these terrain, or can I take my car?
Seems like a good destination to take my 2yr old son. How are the sanitation facilities there?

Regards,
Varun.

Never ! It was an easy terrain and can be managed in almost any car in dry conditions with a good ground clearance.

I had done the same trail in my Laura a few years back heres a pic of the same

Appears that all of you folks had a good time in the deer park. The photos are very good and the flow of travelogue is very good. Crisp language and holding up the audience to a nicely built suspense. I was wondering which forest this was and only towards the end realized that it was a deer park.

Nice TL and HG I think you can spawn off your own series of Who Dunnit's.

Hi Varun, Thank you. You can safely take your car and no issues, as it can move around peacefully. In the dry season that is. In rainy season a couple of spots could be a pain.
Yes, it is a nice spot for kids. There are no facilties inside the park as far as I could see. Everything needs to be 'done' outside...in the interest of ecology (Ahem !). And personal comfort. Despite all the dust & heat none of the members of our drive even spat inside the park. And despite all the fear, none the members of our drive even...you get the drift.
The whole drive can be completed in 90 odd minutes.

Hi MK, Thank you for the kind words.

What do you mean Who Dunnits ?!! I can assure you none of the members 'done' nothing inside the park !
Or else I'll have the ol' boy Hercule P to have a relook at the evidence.

Mate, what I meant was, you could start off penning a few novels similar on the lines of Sherlock Holmes

You have a good handle on the language and am sure you can pen some good interesting novels.

My good man...of course I understood that. I was trying to be extra funny - and obviously fell flat on my face !
Shhh...no more on this, back to the topic.

Hi rrsteer, Yes, the last row of the Fortuner is visually rather nice and neat. That is a cover and it is a factory fitted one.
(Pssst - And all Fortuner related questions can be asked on any one of our LTOR or TDIOR threads or you'll risk going OT. Let's talk about deer here ! Not even venison.)

Not even hilarious. A trip that could be done in a Nano.
Sure the gang would have fun but.......it takes all types.

Nano would be an overkill.
Oh yes, even a cycle/group of cyclists could do it here without raising a sweat.
Not sure about the hilarity though.

Interesting read, presentation at its best.
Do you suggest a drive in a hatchback in this park.

Oh yes and very easily too. Nothing to worry about. As mentioned earlier even a Nano could be an overkill for the track. Though in the rains just couple of points could be irksome at best and that's about it.

Re: The Fortuner Posse rides again - Into the Jungle!

@Guderian and the rest,

Thanks for the travelogue and the fantastic pics. Truly wherever the posse rides, they look majestic like a set of battle tanks on the move. Could there be a possibility of seeing this posse in person at the Mumbai meet.

Re: The Fortuner Posse rides again - Into the Jungle!

Guderian.... U!!! Awesome write up man!!

(Although, gone off-topic in the following comments)

But why are you people taking such risks?

Can't you just take a leisure holiday along the amazon rain forests?? :P

Just imagine man.. What if one of those scary godzilla-like deer had upturned your rides with their antlers?
