You can also consider Vivekananda Kendra, Hotel Sea View.

Route is simple - Bangalore to Kanyakumari all the way on NH7 no confusion, road condition is excellent all the way.

Full route with major towns/cities (mostly bypassed) would be Bangalore-Hosur-Salem-Namakkal-Karur-Dindigul-Madurai-Tirunelveli-Kanyakumari.

Nice thread, I am doing a similar drive starting 30th dec, driving from Bangalore-Mahabalipuram-Dhanushkodi-kanyakumari and back on the 1st of Jan.
Has anyone covered all these places, I am looking for best route and stay options. NH& for Kanyakumari is straightforward, however I don't want to trust maps for all the other routes. Any advice on route and stay will be very helpful.

Returning: 1st Jan

You can follow google maps for the route from Rameswaram to Kanyakumari. I stayed in Hotel Pearl Residency in Rameswaram. This is very close to railway station and about 0.5 kms from Dr Abdul kalam's house. When in Rameswaram do not miss the train ride over the Pamban bridge.
