Fantastic Travelogue, Just amazed to see the landscape of Svalbard, especially the snow shot behind the EISCAT radars pic is breathtaking, feels like looking at a different planet next door from the Radars

The only thing I hear about svalbard is that sometimes the scientific facilities there are used by ISRO (tracking)? Nice travelogue indeed!

Such a beautiful place Senna4ever! I've been to Longyearbyen a couple of times on my long haul trips in my Scania in Euro Truck Simulator.

The real life town looks very similar if I may say so. Gothenburg is a beautiful city again, reckon, personally, one of the best after Stockholm. I'm sure it felt like another world altogether. Good trip and great pics!

Yes, ISRO is one of the many agencies making use of SvalSat facilities. Here's an example: RISAT-1.

On a related note, India has its own centre for arctic and climate research in Svalbard called Himadri. It's in a research base called Ny-Ålesund, even north of Longyearbyen.

A place out of dreams. This certainly motivated me to push myself seriously towards an onsite opportunity in Norway which I was avoiding for some reasons.

By the way, am I the only one noticing the skull face in 10th image? Mind playing games?
