Thank you Noopster for bringing back memories of that beautiful country!
I had such a wonderful time during my 23 day stay there traversing the length of North Island and then a bit of the South Island, going to Midford Sound.
seeing your travelogue, I yearn to now go back.
One of my favorite places was Narrow Neck beach in North Auckland, off Davenport and that looks out the the old volcano- Rangitoto.
