Amazing photographs Amyth
Being a Mysorian, I have been to Ranganatittu several times, but your photographs provide a totally different and magical experience of the place.

Yes you can visit this place anytime of the year. However, the best time to watch migratory birds is usually December - March, but it can vary year to year.

Whatever the season, this sanctuary is a home for lot of crocodiles and pelicans. I am sure they will never disappoint you.

Will post the all crocodile pics that are shown as thumbnails again.

I completely agree ! I clicked some pelicans collecting nesting material and scooping water while flying and was able to click some cormorants splashing water as well , adding few of my clicks, hope you don't mind.Hate the colorful bags they have placed around trees ( second image ), its ruining the background

Re: A day out @ Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary

Ranganathittu never fails to disappoint. Went there last in 2017. How are the migratory birds population this time of the year. One of the boatmen named Mohan is very knowledgeable about the turnaround ever year. It was very unsettling to see how the tourists were behaving the last time . I hope they are mildly educated before boarding the boats.
