Re: Winter Scotland in a Range Rover Sport

Man, that is one awesome travelogue.
And not just because of the Range Rover, but the way you have captured some great shots there!
I had planned a trip to Scotland last summer with almost all the same enroute stops that you have covered, but COVID threw all plans haywire.
So thank you for “taking” me there through some beautiful pics.
Hope I get to be there real soon.

At the Glenfinnan viaduct, there is a small hill which gives you spectacular views of the viaduct without a drone. It’s one of the best views I saw in Scotland.

Driving 15 hours straight sounds really tiring specially in a country like India. Is it the same in the UK? The most I have done in a single day is 13 hours which is Delhi to Manali and it is quite tiring because the roads arent uniform and of course the traffic is very unpredictable.

I am not sure if you are asking how the Gopro is mounted on the vehicle. There is a Gopro mount provided with the camera that is pasted on the top of the vehicle and the Gopro is mounted on that. I don't know if I were able to explain.

It is mounted there most of the time and keeps recording. I carry a few 125 GB cards and keep rotating them and finally transfer them to a hard drive at the end of the day. Also it can be controlled via the mobile app to start and stop recording.

Hi adhd92, yes it is difficult to drive 15 hours or more continuously if you start doing that without adequate preparation. In my case I have gradually increased this time over the years, starting with 2 or 3 hour drives during the initial days of highway drives. Now I can safely do 30 plus hour drives in India. In UK and Europe it gets a bit difficult to drive continuously on the expressways as it tends to get a lot boring compared to India. So we usually take B roads if we have time in our hands.
