No. This was a slightly older Gentleman who was along with one more traveler.

We did talk for a couple of mins about bikes and stuff. He was a very interesting guy.

Re: Chalo Nepal 2020 : Bike ride from Hyderabad to Nepal

wow! I'm happy for you!!

I ride a classic 350 from 2012, but have not taken her anywhere beyond 100Kms.
My friend was part of the Nepal 2020, he rode Chennai - Nepal - Chennai and had 18 days of pure bliss

My business is not allowing me to take any road trips, As I could not spend time with my family already:(

Superb biking trip. Thanks for sharing, with all the little details and great photos, it sure made for a very captivating read.

Two things I particularly liked, were, the pictures of all the chaats- mouth watering stuff, and the candid riders notes at the end. It is always helpful to get an idea on what to pack when going on a biking trip, where space is at a premium as opposed to a four wheeler journey.

Keep riding and keep sharing.

Cheerio!

Friendly moderator Sheel suggested I add this information while reviewing the thread in the Assembly Line.

Well! Solo ride is always exciting! Your own plan, your own decision and your own execution. Seemed to get engrossed in the travelogue and the detailed narration made us feel travelling with you actually. Look forward to more such gripping travelogues.

Awesome travelogue, recollected my memories from your write up. I too rode on my Classic 350 from Hyderabad to Nepal for Rider Mania 2020 but in a group of 8 riders. Will share my experiences as well in the forum.

Cheers.

  • Rear Tube. I actually had this since I just replaced my rear tire and tube.

Amazing travelogue sir. But shocked at the long list of spares, this is just daredevil stuff.

I have tried my hand at riding solo a couple of times and it has been so liberating and refreshing. Could totally relate to your posts.

Also, are these Rynox Urban gloves in the pics? I have used liner gloves underneath my riding gloves in the past and they have been pretty good for temperatures hovering above 4-5 degrees. But anything below that, and the cold makes you start hating the fact that you have fingers

I know that feeling of fingers burning with pain

These gloves are from Zeus. If I remember correctly they cost about 2200 or so and not only are they comfortable but they also managed to make the cold bearable.

Congrats on being the hosts for the next Rider Mania.

I ride with a couple of guys, we call ourselves as 23One.
We came up with the name on the 23rd of January.

Beautifully crafted Travelogue Sir. Really admire your courage to go on such a long trip alone. Lovely photographs as well.

Wishing you many more such lovely trips. God Bless.
