903 kms of driving one way and all alone, wow! Guess it all paid of to see your family surprised and happy. A very well written travelogue indeed.

Cheers

good mileage bro in city i must say but i have manage to get only 8 one time with hard driving and heavy breaking but now get constant 13 with 100% a/c

BTW were you happy with the brakes on the highway

That was a nice account. D you have the log book for the trip? Nice if you could share it. How are the facilities - petrol pumps, puncture shops, hotels - and traffic after Bhusaval till Indore? And Is the present condition of the Indore-Bhopal road good? Is the Dewas bypass still in good shape?

@Superavi: Thx dude

@hellcat: yes everyone was pleasantly surprised. Thanks

@Manikjeet: Hehe Yeah even I have got 13.4 which was the lowest with 100%ac in Pune. My road these days is mostly straight & with less traffic. Yes Brakes were good(they were serviced in the recent 20k service) & the crappy JKs performed better than my expectation :P

@hvkumar: Nah I was too busy enjoying the drive to have maintained a Log, though I did plan to but couldnt. You have enough fuel bunks on the way. Dont know about Pncture shops but they were there & with one stpeney I think thats fine. Hotels are only in City not much dhabas as the NH3. The Bhusaval Indore patch is kinda boring till burhanpur with lotsa small villages. Burhanpur Khandwa is complete ghat section with very good roads. Khandwa Indore is good too but not very broad. Indore-Bhopal is excellant I did it in slightly less than 3 hours :-)

@NIP: Thanks mate

@Zak: Yeah, It is a Let's Go car :-)

@NC: yep the drive was really fun

@toiing: Thanks a lot for liking it :-)

Btw all through the highway I used Reliance's Petrol.

Very nice travelogue Techno. It is amazing for me, an alto did 900 km in a day. The only negative in Alto is not enough power with A/c on. I wish Maruti should have continued Alto VX (1.1L engine).

As long as u can get out of B'lore on time, its not an issue .. Reserve 2 hrs journey time for travel inside B'lore !!

Ya it is done quit easily. People generally do Blr - Mumbai in a day...
But the catch is start your engine at 3AM, u will be in Pune before sunset with all your breaks....

Start at 3AM, Breakfast at Ranebennur A1plaza at 7:30AM, Lunch at Hubli/Dharwad at noon, Pune by 4-5PM...

The AC behaves better after 80kmph on highways...You will not feel that lack of power, atleast I never felt it....
