DAY 3 - Continued Today - We had a lot of time at hand.
We took a long break of nearly 50 mins chit chat - protein bars snack time.
while I took some pics from the camera that I wanted to take back home and may be print them for my wall.
It was time to push from the GUE Mummy Lama Temple and head for our next stop which will be at TABO for a lunch, Last we visited this place was a heaven for having food, good cafe's, lots of small food joints, and lip-smacking momo's.
We make-do with the time we had and reached TABO at 13:00 hours, and those plain straight roads were like heaven on earth at straight stretch were topping up the Xplulses at 117kmph and we wanted to go even faster.
We were shocked to see the village was deserted, the current occupancy was nearly about 40-50 people in town, we did manage to get some water and not-so-good momo's from a road side vendor and we regretted that later.
We did ask for some tea and biscuits, which was some relief later on, while my toli-of friends sat for their whatever kind of luch we had, i sneaked out to grab some more snaps at the helipad.
Not so good to be posing in front of the camera, I very shy-ly asked a passer by local to help me with a picture.
and that's my best
Had a gulp down with the lunch thought, and some tea, we started to make our way to KAZA now.
Strangely, we all started from NAKO and had nearly half tank all except the ADV390, now that we were here at TABO, we were all down to reserves except me, I was still 2 bars.
so we all decided that we'd try to stay as much together as possible, but the terrain in challenging sometimes you all can keep up with each other, sometimes you cant.
At the stretch of
Dhar Gangchhumi, you look behind you see the whole town and the road in front of you where you get the glimpse of snow and mountains that surrounds the MUDH village .

and
This was the point where my clutch cable broke off, well I did have an extra clutch cable tied and the tools with me, but I am left behind from the group because of taking pictures, and I had to go faster than everyone because i have to make up for the time lost and then wait for them time and again.
So decided to move on without the clutch wire repair work.
Owing to this thought in my mind all time that it is broken what shall I do if there is snow on the road, i let myself tell the stupid one that if there would be the group would be waiting, I'll switch cables there.
Go the Stupid me understood this and pushed of faster to catch up with them, I found them all stopped at
Samling / Lingti, Base of pin valley national park gate.
Taking pictures of a frozen waterfall, it was already -3 there and the water wasn't flowing
Took a few snaps and pushed for KAZA, now the fuel was down to the wire, I was nearly reaching the Last Bar, and I wanted to reach KAZA and get fuel now.
I kept hyper-milling and pushing the bike at the max FE level I could 2:30 we reached KAZA, three out our folks the ADV, and 2 x pulse folks got the fuel and went to check out the place we wanted to rest.
Since this would be our place to stay for the NEXT Three days we wanted this to be good and have good time here.
I reached the Petrol pump and took the fuel and some pictures

, of-course I was alone, 3 were gone to to the hotel and 3 were lagging behind, I was in the middle, I wanted to make the most of my time.
I found this as an opportunity to get the clutch wire repaired and my stand welded, unfortunately there was a power cut now, so welding can't be done.
So there was a mechanic I saw, I asked him if he could lend me the tools i'll change the clutch wire, just didn't want to unload everything and take the under-seat tools, anyhow. He said he'd do it for 40bucks
Who'd say NO to that, I told him take 50 and chill. he fixed the thing in like 8mins, and i was back at the pump.
It had now struck 3:00 and the folks at the back didn't show up, I got worried, I sat and started to the direction I came from, going about 5kms I saw the Impulse guy come up, so I and he turned back for KAZA now, and get fuel as he was literally running on fumes, we came and stood waiting for the rest 2 - Atul and RachitKDogra on his GS310.
I had now struck 3:20 and we were getting worried, I asked Nardev(impulse) guy to wait here at the pump and call me in-case they come, since he didnt have any-fuel, he had no where to go, and the pump -
remember there was no electricity. So he calmly sat and camped with the bike, I again started in the direction I cam from going again 5-6 kms only, at the same spot i found Nardev, I caught with Atul Modi and he explained that the GS had run out of fuel, so he turned midway back to go and check out the story what happened the GS was now nearly 17kms far from KAZA.
Me,
being me , very confidently told Atul, - "I have tank full, I'll give the fuel to GS and we'll be here in NO time", with out realizing that we do have a bottle, but we don't have anything to extract the fuel out from the bike, how will we get it out.
Again I and Atul bhai turned to go for KAZA, now when we reached the light was back up, so we all got the tank up and found a 2 ltrs empty coke bottle to fill it up, then it was decided since ATUL knows where exactly Rachit bhai was, he'll go and the rest stay here only.
We decided to wait for them at the pump only.
Atul left the place at around 3:50 pm and 4:30 they both showed up at the pump, and what a sigh of relief.
The guys who went to see the place were not happy with the place and were furious when they cam back with the hospitality of the people running it.
So they decided to change the place of dwelling for the next few days and shortlisted a home-stay -
Sonam HomeStay
One of the best places to stay - the hospitality of the family has been the best over the next couple of days.
Room and view respectively.
and to end this day some more pics!
See you tomorrow for Day 4
