No, Indian passport holders get visa on arrival.

ranjit,

Photos were all very good, especially the track running along the sea.

Sri Lanka is a very beautiful country and worth a visit any time.

When you travel thru the interiors of Sri Lanka, you might get mistaken that you are in some place in Kerala, the similarity is too striking. Even the clothing is similar, to an extent.

And hospitality, just superb. The people go to a far extend to make you feel at home, something we do not find in our own place! Had a lot of good experience when traveling and when we faced problems (of which there were a lot!)

Neo, didnt you check out the corals at Galle?

Thanks all for your comments..

@happy wheels.. Had to attend a meeting at work on the 2nds. So, was forced to come back on 1st. Friends who came with me stayed back and visited Galle.

@spadival .. Visa is on arrival.. When I stood at the immigration counter at Colombo Airport, the guy didnt even ask me how long my stay was, etc. He just gave me a visa.

@tifosi... the track along the sea. I was amazed to see how clean it was unlike how you can see tons of plastic here in India

@ madan : The train runs on broad guage unlike the narrow guage that we have in our hill stations.

Great pics, and what an offer you got! Does the price include taxes? Do let us know next time you see an ad like that.

I realised there are so many people at work who browse and get hold of cheap tickets. Someone found this for me actually.

Thanks for brining this thread back to life
Eventhough I have seen this, now I see the Hatchback SX4 in Srilanka. Great. May be becasue of the recent thread on this and fabia made me recognise this.
I feel this looks much better than the Sedan version. Lol...
