Actually its NH4 till Ranipettai. After that it is NH46 uptill Krishnagiri. From there on it is NH7 till Bangalore.

NH4 is Chennai - Ranipet - Chittoor - Palmaner - Mulbagal - Kolar - Bangalore !! It is the shortest route between Chennai - Bangalore as well. (not to mention a driving delight)
