Ladakh Ride- Bullets June 2008

Hi Team- Bhptians,

We three Bulleteers from Bangalore - Venkat, Dwarak and Shashwat rode this June to Ladakh from Delhi, covering 3,300 kms in 16 days.

Our attempt to enter Spiti Valley from Sumdo was aborted by a land slide near Nako. We re-attempted spiti from Gramphoo after travelling all the way to Manali, Rohtang Pass via Jalori Pass. Again we faced failure with a stream crossing 7 kms from Gramphoo into Spiti Valley. We had to back out. However, we rode to Khardung la , which is a cake walk now.

Posted is the link to pictures we took on Canon Digital SLR and Mobile Phone HTC P3300

Great adventure Dwarak. Last week's Overdrive serial on CNBC also showed a big team of Bulleteers doing the same stint to Manali via Ladakh.

Fantastic is the word!!
I had seen an episode of "High on the Highway" on NewsX where they showed around 50 Bulleteers take the route from Delhi to Khardungla via Manali & Leh.It was just amazing.

Kindly load some more snaps & share your detailed plan that you had to make for this one helluva trip

Cheers

Its a nice camera angle/trick. actually he is standing on road side way above the river but the angle at which picture is taken it looks like he is standing in middle of it. great picture!!!

NO. The army folks will hang you upside down if they even come to know about it .

On a serious note, you can even do the Ladhak route on a M800 and people have done it. More than the vehicle, it is the human grit and condition that is more important

This was the edge of the road, afterwhich the road takes extreme curve to the right. Picture was taken by Shashwat , a team member with his Canon Digital Camera.

Photo link was given earlier. However, providing the link again.
