Mangalore to Bangalore Roadtrip - IMAGES

The Mangalore to Bangalore highway was closed for almost an year.No wits finally opened, I drove through these roads during my recent visit to India. It looks best when its raining in the western ghats.I guess my images would do teh talking then me writing in detail my roadtrip experience..

This is the same place where Kannada movie 'Mungaru Male' was shot. It would look different since most of the curves have been concretised.

The Airavat looks so graceful on road.
By the way, was that last snap (the 4 lane road) taken on the NICE road?

hi how are the roads from mangalore to bangalore?are they still motorable after the heavy monsoons?

Nice pics. I thought the Shirdi Ghats sections was repaird. But by your photo, again the roads in ghat sections remains in tatters (pot hole ridden). Was this relaid at all?

I stayed at JP nagar, so its a smooth drive even after i reach Blore. It takes me all the way till JP Nagar near Metro

I had taken my Palio instead of my Swift, Palio is strong on these roads. I would suggest to use a SUV to drive in these roads.I will be in India next month, will be taking the same route again.

I started around 8AM from Mangalore and reached Bangalore by 2:30PM.
It took time for us at the ghats,since it was raining heavily

Nice views from the roads. Also good catch of the 2 volvos. And that accident, man very bad. Hope guys are ok.
