Nics pics Sharath,

Hope you have given your GV a good wash especially the underchassis etc after the beach raid.

Salt water is corrosive and the fine sand gets into places you would'nt believe !

Congrats on your daring offroad move!

I doubt whether the underchassis even touched the sand, but it did get washed today.

Sacrilege!! BTW the rental pricing is on the expensive side. I haven't ridden an ATV properly but have seen the kind of stuff it can do. Amazing machines.

That's a heck of a day trip Samurai. I like holidays like this, full of activities. I'd rather be on my feet than laze around. And you sure did a lot for a single day.

Actually, I'll tell you the real reason why I passed it up. I thought the gear-lever will be foot controlled like the bikes, and I haven't driven a motorcycle in 15 years. Only when I got on the ATV, they told me it is hand controlled like the scooters. Well, there is always the next time. When Rudra comes we'll take the 250cc machine.

The reason for washing a car after being on the shore is the salt content in the humidity near the sea, which is corrosive. One need not touch the sand to wash the car.

One can observe, if the car / jeep is parked on the shore for more than 10 mins and if the wind is blowing, the entire dash etc would have a fine mist of water / sand spray!

Am glad you did give it a wash

Vikram, I am from a coastal village, I know the whole salt-water/beach sand drill.

That is why I had it washed despite undercarriage not touching the sand.

Wow what a trip. Glad my experience could help. Downhill in sand is always easy, its uphill you need the momentum.
Remember that Pajero advert with seawater flying as she races along the coast, try that next time

Thanks for all the comments guys. I forgot mention that this was the first field outing for my new Zuiko 12-60mm F/2.8-4 lens, it performed superbly, if only I had not switched off the noise filter.

You are taking lovely pictures Samurai. This would make for a great GV billboard ad. The Sun and the Suzuki "S" perfectly highlighted!

Don't you shoot RAW? If so how does NR matter?
