Having worked on cruise liners for almost 6 years there have been some memorable cruises that ive done. Some of them being the Carrbbean, the Hawaain, the Mediterrannean, the Baltics. There also have been some cruises which I wont forget for all the wrong reasons for eg
This one.
But there has been a cruise that I would remeber for a long long time for all the right reasons. And its been the Norwegian Fjord cruise.
This was a 14 day cruise on a a luxuary cruise liner Sundream, in which we sailed out of Harwich, UK and apart from Norway we covered Pharoe Islands and Iceland.
This cruise is only possible in the 2 months of July and August due to the extreme weather conditions during the rest of the year. July and August are favourable also as most of the time you are above the arctic circle hence daylight for most of the 24hrs, so the term Land Of The Midnight Sun.
Apart from the daylight the other highlights of the cruise is the beautifull landscapes, the snow capped mountain peaks, the greenery, the glaciers and ofcourse the fjords. The Fjords can be described as "long narrow inlets with steep sides, created in a valley with glacial activity"
So here I am sharing those moments with you thru photos and videos of the journey, so hope you enjoy
Faroe islands are situated in the heart of the Gulf Stream half way between Scotland and Iceand. Faroe islands are a self governing region but is administered by the kingdom of Denmark.
Torshavn is by far the largest town in Faroe Islands and is also the capital. It is a charming blend of old and new and has one of the most amazing natural sights of the sea.
Heres a small video of us in Torshavn

Lucky Guy ! Awaiting further details....
Reykjavik is the largest city of Iceland and also the capital. Apart from the many thermal water spa's Reykjavik also has many volcanoes.
This is one of the most famous Thermal water Spa's in Reykjavik
The Reykjavik area coastline is characterised by various coves, peninsulas, straits and islands, all caused by the volcanic activities over the years.

Go ahead, I dont have any problems
Bergen, is the second largest city in Norway, it is considered to be the cultural centre of Scandinavia.
Though a bustling town with all the latest amenities and riches there are a lot of places which have still maintained their old heritage look.
These wooden bulidings and houses provide a lot of colour to the city.
Bergen Marina
Right in the city centre is the famous Fish market. This market is a paradise for seafood lovers and is extremely clean. Here you can taste and buy variety of seafood, ranging from shark meat to whale meat or jumbo prawns

Also a must do is to take a ride in the Funicular or Floybanen. This small train takes you 320mts above sea level on Mount Floyen.
From there you get spectacular views of the city and the surrounding islands.
