Small weekend trip to forest

Drove down in the Gypsy to a small forest in Maharashtra on Friday, returning today evening. Covered over 900 kms in all, plus a day of punishing off-road session of over 150 kms on Saturday.

Average mileage on trip ~12kpl. Vehicle performed flawlessly off the road, except some worrying moments while crossing a large stream.

Performance on the highway was surprisingly dismal. Will need to get Yossi checked up tomorrow.

in the meantime some pics relevant to this forum...

Haha, loved the wit and humour in that one, also hope your twin is generous enough to share the location of where he would shoot the stream crossing.

Good find there pragya, this is dajipur I am guessing. A google search takes you to Maharashtra Tourism Website which reads "The jungle resort of Dajipur is situated on the border of Kolhapur and Sindhudurg districts. Surrounded by rugged mountains and dense forests, this secluded little place is completely cut-off from human habitat."

This place is on my list now!

BUSTED! That is indeed the place.

Dajipur/Radhanagari is about 80 kms from Kolhapur.

That is what i call marketing! Actually there are 23 villages in and around Dajipur. Part of the reason why i went there actually.

The stream in question is actually not in Dajipur but on a trail in another forest to the north which is adjacent to Dajipur.
