I am planning the same trip this weekend, could i find something like this. Any suggestions.

PS : Amazing pics & nice travellogue
Actually, I had a blowout on the highway(NH1), after that, on an OTR, one of the tires got a bulge. So I had to replace 2 tires with Elanzo(Ultra cheap JK tires). Later, due to some alignment issues, 2 Bridgestones got uneven wear). So before ladakh trip I needed 4 new tires because even the Elanzos had some small cracks under main tread. So I decided for AT tires for more peace of mind since most places in himachal, where we go to, have very bad roads

thanks hemant. Hopefully, safari is not giving trouble. But I am not sure. There are some strange sounds which need investigating. Will be showing it to the workshop on monday.

The journey back

Since Narkanda is just 10-11 hours away, we decided on a late start.
Get up at 8, have breakfast in market, and leave by 10am.
Looking at the cloud cover, I was expecting a snow shower overnight, unfortunately, the morning was bright and sunny.
Well, time to click some pics
A couple of pics of the view from the room

And the most awesome, the view from the front corridor!

Some different angles

After that it was time to eat and then start the long drive back.
One last pic of the snow near Fagu

After that the journey was mostly uneventful, but the safari has a way of raising your BP. Near shimla. I thought I was hearing some high pitched sound.
Slowed down and lowered the windows.
Yes, there was a sound, similar to brakes squeeling, only I was not using the brakes at all, I let her coast, and it became clear on the downhill stretches that its not engine sound, but coming from some bearing.
It came and went, and finally went away completely. Don't know what gremlins lurking in the white elephant, waiting to pounce on the wallet.

Later, we had lunch at Colonels Kababs, pretty uninspiring Kababs though, and admired two superbikes there. One was a Suzuki tourer which sounded like an Enfield with damaged silencer, the other one was some honda cbr thingy which sounded like a nice powerful throaty sportsbike.

Around 4:30 we touched the NH1 near ambala, took just couple of pics on the lovely Banur road

Finally our journey ended around 9pm...

THE END

Me too, fingers crossed. Today morning, when I put reverse gear, some strange glass bead tinkering like sound came. Its not come again. Something sinister lurking underneath

Tanveer, Fantastic travelogue. I can't beileve i was there just a couple of months ago and the surrounding has changed so much during this time.

Your one lucky guy to experience snowfall everytime. Btw, did you carry your lucky jacket even this time?

Did you stay at Hotel Hatu?

Nope, we stayed at the circuit house. I was carrying the jacket. but nowadays it does not always work. For example it did not work at all at Kalatop, and we got snowfall only on first day at Narkanda when we reached in the evening. Nothing more

Avi, I think it might not be the jacket. I guess one needs to arrive at the destination in true T-BHP Style... DRIVE and not in a hired cab!

Another excellent travelogue, Tanveer. Was a pleasure reading and also viewing the pics.

The white Safari in the white snow looks really made for each other.
