The fish is known locally in konkani as hambli or Baale, savallu in Telegu. They are nomarlly dried. I am not a great fish eater but I love angling.

You can get very good top view of harnai from the hill road leading to anjarle.

At karde, you can do beach drive/sand drive[ similar to dive agar].
Hi Ashish

The view from the Anjarle route is amazing.

Have a few pics of the route as well....

Saw the beach drive though did not indulge in it myself.

What would be the best route from pune??
How is the traffic in that route??
@ Kalinga,

Please find below the Address of the Resort:

Karve Pakhadi, Murud P.O. Dapoli Taluka
Murud, Maharashtra

Phone No: 02358 234501

Not too sure about the route from Pune.

I guess that Mahad/ Lonere Phata would be a common Junction even from Pune.

Take a right and travel for 67 kms to Dapoli.

Harnai is about 8-10 Kms from here.

What a lovely thread. I had done Harnai last year, and truly the view from the road above is spectacular. Here's my humble contribution..
Harnai village, as seen from the road leading to Anjarle.
