Fiat goes Off The Road - FCB drives to forests of Chikmagalur!

Fiat goes Off The Road - FCB drives to forests of Chikmagalur!-untitled.jpg

On a beautiful Sunday morning, we crazy FCB founders Karthik M.B(Karthik1100), Karthik Makam(funkykar), Sujith(Sujith1100) and Arun(FiatMyLove) decided to go Chikmagalur in Karthik Makam's Fiat/Padmini s1 just to do some Off-Roading! Sujith managed to come inspite being busy with his Automobile Engineering exams!!

Once we reached Chikmagalur, we had some yummy chicken Biryani at Karthik Makam's farmhouse. We took rest the whole day and next day we decided to go explore the beautiful forests of chikamagalur 69 kms from the Farmhouse. Karthik M.B has done lots of Off-Roading in his Fiat near Goa. So he had a bit of experience in this.

We had loads of fun burning the rubber! Thankfully throughout the adventurous trip, no part of my FIAT was damaged and performed amazingly as usual.

This is Just the Beginning guys. Watch out to see what all Fiats can do!

Pics of various stages will be posted in 2 - 3 phases.

I'm glued being an avid FIAT fan after driving 1100 and 118NE for long. And now the Palio 1.2 NVSport drives me around .

Nice snaps there and your logo also rocks. But I think the trail doesnt look tough, may be the photographs doesnt do justice to the real context.

Me and My Fiat thoroughly enjoyed driving through the forests! We just wanted to have some fun going Off The Road and not to prove anything as Fiat 1100s have already proven their bit since five decades in India.

Being from traffic jammed Bangalore, we just wanted to drive around some greenery/trees and breathe some fresh oxygen! Thats exactly what we did and also tried going on some rocks!!

I know there are a lot of Fiatians around and I am going to get beaten up. Still,
1. The thread titles wacky. Its like a normal road.
2. The 1100 was not built to do this.\
3. Hope to see more pictures. Neat car.

No you don't need to be beaten up. You need to be taught a lesson. See what I posted before in bold.

We FCBians surely had lot of fun! I have done such Forest drives many times in my Fiat. Its really fun to do such trips in a non 4X4 vehicle.

We love humans and never beat up anyone as Humans are the ones who invented Fiat 1100s!

1100 was built to do what then??

We did this very patiently taking our own sweet time. We enjoyed every moment of it since we were amidst the greenery all the time. Utmost care was taken to ensure that nothing on my FIAT would get damaged. Only hard thing the FIAT had to take was very high revs and burning some rubber.

All these years, I have gone through these routes only on a jeep or a tractor. This was the first time I did it in a FIAT. With the other 3 hard core FIATians along, last thing I had to do was worry.

I intend to offroad to Hebbe Falls in Kemmangundi some time. In that route, only jeeps/SUV's can make it.

Infractions: 0/1 (5)

the following are my earlier off-roading pics near sirisi and siddapur during my trip to goa from bangalore, and one more trip to mandal patti near madikeri, that was also very steep and off-road drive, these roads are mostly used by 4X4 and i have not seen a car climbing that, and we were six people with lots of luggage the total weight of approx. 450kgs went till the heights. about one hour we had to introduce my fiat to other curious travelers came with their scorpio, mahindra 540.
