Thinking about it, I am not sure why these terrains in India remain vastly unexplored. Is it because of the terrorism menace? India can probably beat Switzerland in tourism if proper facilities are built in these places. Your thoughts?

Absolutely right. These pics have really got me thinking "There is so much to explore in our own country"

Hope our Tourims minister visits the site. Can we not send these to Tourism Ministry? I urge the mods to consider this.

Sometimes, I wonder if it is better so that these regions are not sooo exposed. On the other hand, Ladakh depends solely on tourism and a little bit more effort from everybody would enhance the tourism level to a more acceptable one.

However, I would resist getting into the discussion of Indian Tourism in this thread. That's not why we went there for....see !!

Some of the pictures are beyond imagination and out of the world. I have no words to express how I feel after watching these pictures.

Agree and how! Guys please no discussion on anything else apart from Ladakh and it's vistas.

Long ago I ran out of words to express my appreciation, praise or applaud.

But..I still continue to visit this thread numerous times a day and go into a trance every time I see and observe each photograph for long and again go back to the earlier ones, its a vicious cycle an everyday kind of ceremony now.

The sheer raw, undiluted beauty captured by you and Ajay has many in the same boat as me.

Love, the soft river of sand and the jagged mountains together(#145).

The cerulean, sapphire skies and the turquoise blue waters and mustard foreground (#105) are just miraculous!

Panoramas are out of this world.

If you don't mind...I am curious: Just about 14 months back, your thread OUT COLD has a beautiful array of photographs of more or less the same terrain and location.

The difference in those photographs and these are huge, though you have never lacked the skills behind the camera.

My question is, What do you attribute the reason for the pre-eminence between then and now?

a. Equipment (cameras, filters etc.)
b. Experience (of last visit)
c. Newer techniques (adopted)
d. Post processing (advanced software)

Attempting to learn at least a fraction from you.

Rudra-da, this looks very fisheye-ish (a Rush song comes to mind) but I see no fisheye in your arsenal (listed earlier).
