Riders

Srihari - Classic 500
Arun - Standard 350
Vikram - Standard 350
Myself - Electra 4S
Raghav and Merwyn were pillion riders.

We left my place at 4:30am and headed towards the meeting place. Vikram and Raghav were already waiting there and Merwyn and Arun had gone to pick up the camera from Merwyn’s place. It was already 5:00am when we left the place. We were maintaining a moderate speed, as we had to be little careful with the early morning airport road traffic. The moment we took a deviation towards Nandi Hills, Merwyn and Raghav started clicking the photographs. We continued to ride as we savored the beauty of the nature. We took a small break for coffee/tea, took few photographs and we were raring to go. We were inspired by a group of people who were getting ready to climb the hill on foot. We did not have to do that as the job was left to our machines. As we were enjoying the ride to the top of the, the visibility started getting poorer and at one point there was absolutely no visibility. We were all following the red light from the tail lamp of the bike ahead of us. This reminded us of the flashing red light at the back of the Formula1 car when it rains. Finally we reached the place, parked the bikes, paid the necessary fees and headed toward the hill top.

As we walked towards the hill top, we could see the water drops fallingfrom the cloud right in front of our eyes which was a breath taking experience. We reached the top where we were welcomed by the heavy wind. It was so heavy that we found it little difficult to walk with a proper balance. We spent some time hoping to see the sunrise, but that did not happen as it was totally covered by the clouds. We did not want to wait any further and hence headed towards the Kalyani (Pond) which is popularly known as Bhoga Nandieshwara Kalyani. We sat there for few minutes, took photographs and left the place.

We got on our bikes and left the place. On the way back we stopped for breakfast as all of us were really hungry and we were longing for it. We all ate peacefully and left the place. Srihari took a deviation towards his place, but we all went to Merwyn’s place as Raghav had kept his laptop there. Merwyn transferred the photos to his laptop in a flash, we all saw them before we left the place. We all headed in different directions towards our respective places. Raghav came along with me as he stayed close by to my place. It was already 11:00am and there is nothing worse than riding in Bangalore traffic at this time. We continued with no option and finally reached home after dropping Raghav at his place. Even though it was a short trip, it was filled with fun and excitement and everyone enjoyed it.

A group of RE riders taking on the hills never fails to put me in good cheer!
Nice pics, glad to see the well kept Standard 350's especially.

Cheers,
Sriku

Looks like every weekend you have a plan in place!

Very nice pics. The weather seemed to have cleared out later or is it some place mid way?

You need to be there by 6:30 in the morning, that is the best time.
