Can I request for some feedback regarding road condition, route marking, time taken, safety etc.

Thanks in advance.
Hi,
I haven't been on this route for a long time now but from what I remember, the road was quite decent. I hope it is good now. The route is quite safe during the day. Just remember to take the right turn towards Kolar instead of going to Hoskote. You could also take the Malur-Bangarpet-Kolar route although it is a bit longer. I seem to remember that the Bangarpet-Kolar route was very good.
I think Ampere is the guy you should be asking . Hope you have a good trip.

What I had suggested him in another thread was to take the route via Whitefield.

Mysore-NICE-Chadapura - Dommasandra-Varthur-Whitefield-OMR-Hoskote-Kolar.

Dont know what uncertainities Sarjapur-Baglur-Malur route may throw up.
So is the case with NH207 from Sarjapur to Hoskote. Traffic is very low on these routes.

I did Bangalore-Sarjapur-Baglur-Malur-Kolar once. The main problems were:
- Getting out of Sarjapur is real pain (The road around Sarjapur is 4wd ! Actually there is no road, but rammed soil)
- There was one really bad section between Baglur and Malur.

- Malur-Kolar SH is beautiful but a bit narrow, Makes for a very nice drive during the day.

In general landscape is pretty much flat. Around these locations Kolar/Mulbagal, there are some nice old temples.

There are many old temples on this circuit though. (In and around Kolar and Mulbagal). You can find many blogs if you google.

Re: Half Day trip to Kotilingeshwara and Bangaru Tirupathi

Did the trip today.

Took the Toll Road from KR Puram Bridge (MBT/NH4/NH75 ???) up to the exit to Kolar/State Highway - SH 96 and then stayed on SH 96 until Badamkan Halli and then took a route to SH 95/ Bangarapet Rly Stn. Once hit the SH 95 near the Bangarapet Rly Stn, took a left and then went on to he temple which is about 8 km from the point you get the SH 95

Total Distance from Nagwara Jn in ORR was about 94 KM. The driving on the NH4/NH75 was the icing on the cake. Was able to maintain good speeds and in India that is a rare opportunity.

The temple itself - nothing much to talk about (was forewarned by other posters in the thread hence, not disappointed).

Thousands of Sivalingams everywhere. But apparently they still have not hit the 1 Core or "Koti" mark as has been envisaged by the founding seer. As per Poojaris they are somewhere well over 99,99,000 mark (hence the commercial nature of the temple itself I suppose as they need money to reach the mark)

The topography around nothing remarkable. Just wanted a good drive on a lazy Sunday morning and hence the trip

Managed to get some pictures on my mobile.

Best Regards & Drive Safe
