Day03, 31.08.2010 Vagamon Heights By 20:00PM we reached the campfire site. Jr. PPG was happy and was running about in full joy.
It was indeed a pleasant day for all of us.
While the campfire was on, we polished off a nice dinner. Hence no pictures of the fire, was busy with the chicken :D
The campfire and dinner finished together. Jr.PPG wanted more fun
By 21:30, we went for a night safari again. Boy that was loads of fun. Everyone was shouting and houling and with such a wonderful feeling reached the cottage. By 22:00PM we retired for the day.
An Amazing fun filled day. We love this place.
Amazing time you've had
I think this is the same place where Rjstyles had stayed earlier - I remember cos I was struck by the architecture of the resort. I wanted a house like that

Day04, 01.09.2010 Vagamon Heights
Everybody was awake and ready by 09:00AM. A silence was filled in the room, today is the last day of our 15 day holiday. Tonight we would be driving back home.
But yay we still have a day. This day was mostly dedicated to thanks giving for a beautiful long vacation, our biggest executed so far within the family.
We walked upto the reception area for breakfast.
Breakfast was "puttu and kadala". Puttu was made in "Chiratta" (coconut shell) giving it the shape and name "
Chiratta Puttu".
After breakfast as usual I have to collect plant soveniors for our forest at home. They had planned to give me some cardamom saplings.
By the time the saplings were arranged we roamed around at the reception area.
The reception and the place where we had campfire "Raanthal" Fungi Met this fellow behind the reception. Very agressive chap Found Gobels grazing PPGs says bye to Gobels Gobels Acknowledges too The cardamom saplings have come Cardamom flowers and fresh cardamom at the roots
By 10:00AM we said bye to Vagamon Heights and got back to the roads.
I wanted to offer my our prayers at Kurishumala, and drove towards Kurishumala which was 10Kms away.

Day04, 01.09.2010 Kurishumala
We reached Kurishumala fast. On one side it is Kurishumala a Christian Pilgrim centre and on the other side it is Muruganmala an Hindu one.
Kurishumala means the Mountain of the Cross. You can find more details of
Kurishumala here
Hearty Welcome! | Kurisumala Pilgrim Centre
There are 14 stations of the cross at regular intervals and a chapel on the top. The
14 stations of the cross is usesd as a tool worldwide to reflect to the followers on the suffering and death of Christ.
You would have by now noticed the installations of the crosses in my logs at Calvery Mount and Panchali Medu. Both these places we had to abandon our following the way of the cross after the 10th cross due to heavy rains and thick fog.
Today was bright, with no rains and sun shining bright. But mist was playing hide and seek in between at the hills.
The climb to the top of Kurishumala is a tough 2Km climb. We were all anxious to climb to the top and offer our prayers.
We started the climb by around 10:30AM.
We reached the 1st Station.
First Station : Condemned We climb further Second Station : Carrying the cross We climb still further. Jr. PPG is tired already The mountain you can see is Muruganmala Mist starting to spread Third Station : Falling
Jesus falls for the first time under the weight of his cross
Jr. PPG slowly inches ahead Fourth Station : Meeting Mother
Jesus meets his mother enroute
The climb has been steady. Mist spreading Fifth Station : Simon carries the cross Climb started to become steep and more difficult.
