The Apollo Acelere seems pretty good, considering that it has a puncture resistant layer, groves that repel small stones etc. Even OD have praised it, as they're Long Term NHC has been shod with these tyres.
Has anyone had any personal experience with these tyres? Will they work better than the competition (especially on Indian roads)?
I'm on the verge of getting new tyres for my Vtec and i don't wanna make the wrong choice.

Is this punture resistant layer unique to Acelere ? And what is OD & NHC ?
OD:OVERDRIVE
NHC: NEW HONDA CITY
heard it's good, but shan i suggest u pick up the brigdestone potenza g111's they look really good,my friend has 205 size on his vtec,
btw that's the size prescribed by bridgstone people for the city, for tthe esteem it's 195
ps:what abt ceat spiders?
I prefer to stick with the Bridgestones and I really don't trust Apollo but Aceleres don't seem to be bad though.
I was thinking of going in for the
Bridgestone potenza G009s . They've been rated the best in it's class of tyres.
BTW, do you have any web links to the G111s?
Shan2nu
no links ya,but they look exactly like those s03 pole positions gto talked abt a long while back
have the brouchere give me a day to scan it up

Hey Shan2nu,
The great time has finally come, so why on earth are you looking at tires like these?? :P
Why arent you considering the ultra-sport category instead of these (sport-)touring tyres ?

Hey shantanu ..
Why dont you give Michelin MXF Sport a try ....
they are worth every rupee you spend on them
Guys, believe it or not, tyres are a commodity-technology. Also, below a (very high )level of competency, you can't survive as a tyre manufacturer. It is *impossible* for Bridgestone or Michelin to prove themselves better than corresponding Apollo or MRF. No offenses but *we* Indians *belive* that Made in India/Indian companies are not good. Agreed the Hondas and Toyotas are better than Tata Motors and Mahindras *as of now* but there are legendary Indian companies that make great products. If you believe MRF/Apollo tyres are not great, you don't know a thing about Tyres, or driving for that matter. Check out how many trucks in India run on Bridgestones - India moves on the likes of Apollo and JK and these companies are at least as good as the best in the world.
Also, Bridgestone is a copycat firm that learnt everything in the book from Goodyear, Michelin, and Continental, and later from their acqusition of Firestone.
On any given day, MRF is more innovative than Bridgestone.
