@chargerman-one superb collection of rides and all the more for wheels..:thumbs up
Anand: Stunning wheels. I too have been lusting after the same design after seeing Zenopio's (and others) pictures on this particular thread.
I have a black Aveo so hope to buy the same in Hyper Silver 14" with width of 6J, Offset 38 and PCD 100/4 hole.
I did some calling around here in BLR yesterday and find that the same design is made by HR (HR 031), Plati (PY518) and League (LG199). However, HR only has it in 15" and above.
I even located a set of 14" Platis and was quoted (on phone) around 3.3k per rim plus chrome nuts, necks, spanners, fitting and balancing extra.
How does that price sound? Also, I was warned that it's a oldish design and getting a spare rim later MAY become an issue.
Very, very nice. :)
When I bought my white Swift DDiS late last year, I was SO tempted to go in for virtually the same kind of rims, with 205/50 R16 S-Drives.
BUT... practicality prevailed. This car will be going out of town, and my younger sister drives it too (she's not as careful about avoiding potholes as I am), so I settled for 195/60 R15s with Yoko A-drives.
This is just a personal opinion, but I think a good five-spoke design is the best rim selection for a swift.
Again, very very nice.

Alloy Brand: HR
Cost: 24k (including nuts, chrome necks, balancing, spare spanner)
Tyres : Yokohama S drive - 205/50/R16
Cost: Rs 6250 per piece
Total Cost: Rs 49,000.:Shockked: I know!!! same exact expression when I heard the cost, but then I was already sold on the design the day I saw Zenopio's wheels.
Place: Hot tracks
Experience: The guy is costly, but has the best range of alloys.
Let me know what you think
PS: 50 profile is not for Indian roads! With Swift's jarring suspension and 50 profile tyres - Harsh ride guaranteed!!! |

Thanks! Buddy.
For you practicality prevailed, for me practicality was distorted with the love for the design. But I do concur with you that 195/60 R 15 is the best combination for swift. It requires special driving skills if you are using 205/50/16...that's the reason I do not let my dad drive my swift.

Hey Krish,
I have seen many cars with alloys wherein the Brake drums or calipers have been painted red, looks nice! I want to get only the front brake calipers painted red, what kind of paint is that? how much shd painting of front 2 brake calipers cost me? What kind of places do this kind of painting?

Thanks Anand. Cost almost 50k for the set of four BFGs and the EVO Alloys from the new Hot Tracks shop near LifeStyle. Apparently I'm the first to sport these alloys :D maybe wrong, but feels good.
NIP how about some pricing on the BFGs.
Also please mention size and place you got em from in Blr?

BFGs cost me 5.7k per tyre from Hot Tracks. Size 235/70 R16. Upgraded from stock 15" wheels.
I still wish I got the 16s. But I think getting alloys is like getting a tattoo. No matter how happy you are with what you originally get, eventually you'll see something you like better.
By the way... a friend of mine just got original O.Z. 17"s installed on his Swift-D. Warned him against it, but he hasn't listened. I know quite a few people on this board have 17s, but this guy knows absolutely squat about how to drive on such low profile rubber.... frequently rips his ride with scant regard for bumps or potholes. He just thought they looked good, and thats all that mattered to him. Oh, well.
