Wow! What a photo man, the car is looking ultracool with those uber sexy rims and with lowered stance.
Do you have a dedicated thread for this swift of yours on forum? If yes please provide the link.

Couldn't resist posting another pic of our project Swift here. It's been posted earlier, but this time, the SA67Rs have been painted Anthracite and the suspension has been lowered. Attachment 842285 |

Super picture, you could have had the HL and/or fog lights on too.

Wow! Dolphin, those alloys look hot. And is that Alloy Set #4 or #5 in your Swift? How is the ride on those 17" wheels? I hope this set is a keeper for a long time. :) |
@deetjohn,
17" alloys always come in set of 4.
The ride actually is good. I had a bad experience with my previous set of 17" wheels which had Yokohama A-Drive in the same size. The ride was very hard with them. I was actually reluctant to go for 17" again. But when I inspected the Accelera tyres, I found the rubber to be on the softer side and they were comparitively lighter than the A-Drives.
Crossing my fingers I went for these as I had fallen in love with the Konig alloys.
The tyres have actually exceeded my expectations. The ride comfort is good. No hard thuds or driving without a tyre kind of feeling.
Was in India last month on my yearly home visit that's when I decided to upgrade the stock wheels and tyres (bridgestone, I guess) on my ride to something better. Multi-spoke design has always took my fancy and with a bit of homework, I knew what exactly I am after. My shopping list included:
Tyres: Yoko A Drive (175/65/R14)
Mags: Plati (PY 123)
Checked 185/65/R14 but found them a bit too wider for my liking. So, I settled with 175ers. I was billed Rs.25,000 for the whole lot but I sold my old tyres for 11,000 (car was driven approx. 4000Kms but car is two years old and dealer failed to realise that :) otherwise may have gotten lesser money for the stocks). So, I ended up paying Rs.14,000.
My feed back after the upgrade, ride quality has improved drastically. Highway driving is a breeze now. New tyres have given the car and the driver a truckload of confidence on high speed maneuvering.
Let the pics do the talking. Sorry for poor picture quality folks, mobile cam pics.
Ladies and gents, the lo & behold the end result:
Stock and Yoko side by side.
Stock and Yoko head-on
Date stamp
Also got a free festival gift with my tyre purchase, a Jabra bluetooth earset. Was about to shop for something similar, glad that I didn't rush.clap:
Feedback is welcome.
Regards
Punzabi.
Glasses and Jabra both? or you had to choose one. Do tell as I have to buy a set too and will prepone the purchase if it is both. Already have a pair of the same glasses, these are made by Caterpillar, great quality.
EDIT Nice alloys by the way!
I am glad you liked it. I was only offered Jabra and I happily took it. Don't know if the offer has changed and Yoko included glasses in it or added a choice.

They look awesome... Seems punto's OEM alloys were influenced by these(or the other way around??)

Exactly. I used to think the same about the pattern. Only that the Punto spokes are thicker.
After a long search of alloys for Xylo.. i went to showrooms in chennai. Every one showed the same set of alloys (3 Models). As the PCD for xylo is very rare because xylo is not an global car. But out of three one model caught my eyes...
Model: Star Racing Alloys (from the manufacturer of HRS, as said by the dealers)
Size: 15" 5-Spokes
Offset: 35
Color: Black & Chrome, with Chrome lip.
Kindly bare as my vehicle is dirty.. God is pouring here.

Oh! I didn't know that 17" alloys always come in set of 4. Helps the pocket.
But you misunderstood my question. What I wanted to ask was 'What is the ordinal number for these 17" Konig as alloys in your Swift?'
OT: It was quite difficult to come up with that question in English. I don't even know if its fully correct to ask that way. :)

This is the 17th set of wheels that I have on my car. All this madness started last Nov, 2010. I am planning to consolidate all the photos and show-off here. :D

God bless you. Now suppose average price of 1 set was 20k, you have spent almost 3.5 lacs on wheels. You are insane. But as long as we have pictures to drool who needs to complain.
And yes please put pictures of all the sets you have had till now please:

Since you asked, here it is:
Starting from my first set of 14" alloys that I purchased in Nov, 2010, till now I have spent Rs.6,75,300 on alloys and tyres. I have recovered Rs.2,97,800 by selling them off. I have lost Rs.3,77,500 because of this alloy/tyre craze. I am expecting around Rs.85,000 from the remaining wheels that I have.
So, 377500-85000= Rs.2,92,500.
The final amount does not include the many thousands that I have spent on wheel balancing and removal, fitting etc, etc.
