Its just an overkill for a zen. It won't fit a stock zen unless u have a custom made wheel arches..
i have a friend who has a zen carbon and has 175/60 r13 on the stock alloy wheels(5j,the same design which is available on the zen estilo and wagon r).
he has been riding on these wheels setup for the past 2 yrs and hasnt faced any issues.the front tyres dont scrape the wheel arches.yes they do foul with the rear arches when 3 ppl sit behind but that is the case even with 155/65r13 on 5.5j rims.a problem which can be easily solved by adding spacers.
to add to that he also participated in the last autocross held in noida with the same wheel setup.
i know its not an ideal setup but it can be done.

When i tried 175/60-13 with 5j rims, all the four tyres started fouling against the wheel well...

The case of fouling in 155/65-13 can be solved without using spacers by just getting 5j rims

U have 155/65-13 on 5.5j rims right??
Adding spacers will obviously increase the hieght n will also affect the handling n make the car little bouncy... Zen doesn't look good to me when its hieght is raised...
Anyways the spacers could be considered if u dont intend to change the alloys

to be honest even i was surprised, the tyres never used to foul with the wheel arches.

Esteem steel rims vs Zen steel rims

Hi,

slightly offtopic here, I wanted to know if the esteems OE steel rims are wider than the zen's OE rims? also what is the best width we can fit on to the Esteem rims, what is the J factor of both? i couldnt see it written anywhere, am planning to upgrade my Rims but am not a great fan of ALLOYS so was wondering if there is an alternative

I have a EZen with stock steel rims and 155 rubber, it is pretty good in terms of handling in dry but scary in wet weather. And i d love to upgrade it to 175 or 185 with some wheel arch mods

Esteem steel rims are 4.5j & Zen steel rims are 4j

I had zen 4j rims with 165 rubber which caused lots of oversteer & other handling issues..So i shifted to esteem 4.5j rims, which solved the handling issues but still have an overly light steering which is risky at high speeds.. So i wouldn't recommend u both..

Now as u have an E- Zen u can go with 195 rubber & Optra's 5.5j rims which could be a perfect combo

Thanks for the Info KPZEN and Hellspawn, but 195 rubber with Optra rims wont it touch the wheel arches? how bout when you take a U-Turn will it touch? so i ll have to modify my arches right? does stock optra rims fit the ZEN without any mods?

Any other car rims??how bout Baleno? i d be happy with 175 rubber maxxx 185 with 5J but 195 Sounds too wide for me!correct me if am wrong

rev_hard is running 195/45R14 on alloys on his stock zen without any flared wheel arches and apparently he hasnt faced any problems.
