Hope that was a typo, isn't the size 195/55/R15 and 205/50/R15 ?
krishnathanthri the price should be 4500 tops and not more than that. I have picked up S-drives in that size at 4250/- for a fellow member here about a year back.
Riju --- There is a size in S Drive of 195/50R15. For Baleno, Getz, etc.....
205/55 R15 actually costs around 4700 now. Prices have gone up a bit. Dont ask why!
picked up a set of 4 A-Drives yday. 175/70/13 .
drove about 25kms last evning and loved every part of it.

technically - side wall bulges are classifed as a "manufacturing defect" nd the dealer has to honor the warranty.

Sorry Madan, tha is wrong. It could be due to manufacturing defects but is mostly due to bad roads.
@Nikhil, confused here : why & how will bad roads cause a side-wall bulge ? I would have thought that it is a result of a defective tyre hitting a pot-hole.
my logic :
A good tyre also hits a pot-hole, but doesnt bulge. The common factor being the pot-hole, the tyre would be the make or break factor.
The tyre would bulge if the impact of hitting the pothole causes the nylon carcass of the tyre to get damaged. Will put up a pic here in some time to show you how a tyre suffers a 'cut' on the inside.

How much did these cost you and which tyre dealer did you get them from?

nikhil how much would the 185/70 R14 for the A drives cost? i was quoted 3100 / tyre.
I plan to change and upsize the tyres of my new cedia sport ( to be delivered in a week) from the stock 195/60/R15 to 205/60/R15. Which set of tyres from Yokohama are good for cedia sports and hows the reliability and performance parameters.
