No idea, I didn't ask because I didn't want cheap gray market tyres on my car anyway and the only Audi in Chennai is about 90 minutes + from my house can't flatbed the car all the way there just for one tyre. Trashed the hankook and took JK Levitas Ultra.
New premium tyre from JK - this is entirely different from their janata quality tyres and developed specifically for premium cars. Looks good and performs well in the 2k or so km that I've run the A4 on them.
I replaced all four tyres of my Audi A4. Used Continental 225/55R16
Continental UC6. 5024 manufacturing. Rs. 11,600/- per tyre and about 2K for wheel alignment and balancing.
The Spare Wheel has cracks in it owing to non usage and has to be replaced as well.
Audi has given me a quote for the Spare Wheel at Rs. 49,920/-. Upon full payment, they will order and procure in a weeks time, I am told.
What is a workaround for this spare tyre? I find it very steep to pay 49K+ for this.
