Change it immediately! It's completely worth it!

Get the Conti CPC2.

Thanks Nikhil and Bharat,

CPC2 seems like all rounder after reading alot of posts and googling. I am just wondering what will i do without Team-BHP :)

I have met a local Conti dealer who has quoted me Rs.5800 for a single CPC2 Tyre and a premium of 3500 on stock JK's. After reading posts I was expecting a price of 7K. This guy is a conti dealer and deals mostly in Conti Tyres. Problem is to ensure if am getting the genuine product ?

Help very much appreciated please:

Well, currently Conti has some discounts going on on their 2008 manufactured tyres.

So, 5800 means it's a 2008 manufactured tyre. Still a great deal IMHO.

Go for it.

Ohhh Thanks Nikhil...!

That clears my doubt. BTW I have got my SX4 delievered today. I will be heading to Conti dealer early in the morning tommorrow.

Got shoes changed for my new baby.

Continental Premium Contact 2 205 60 R16 replaced the stock JK's without any change in tyre size. CPC2 is 2008 manufactured tyre but I have 3 years warranty starting yesterday so I think am good. I think for Rs. 5800 it is good deal.

Differences noticed after upgrading the shoes:
Overall am happy with the spending done on replacing the tyre :)

Thanks Nikhil and Bharat.

I would recommend you stick to the latest manufacturing date irrespective of the discounts and warranty. You've other options like Yokohama Decibel V550 and Michelin Primacy LC.

Not necessarily.

It doesnt make sense to follow something blindly. A one year old tyre being sold at a 35% discount makes for AMAZING value for money.

The warranty period starts when you buy the tyre.

I have bought my CPC2 from G.S Car Studio C-3/2 Wazir Pur, Indul Area. Phone number is 9811132435. CPC2 205/R16/60 Costed me 20000 for Four tyres + VAT at 12.50%. Ofcourse warranty is signed from date of sale. I am just back from tour of 1500 KM, CPC2 doing some great job there and alot of diffrence from my friends SX4 which is sporting stock JK's. Also i traded my stock tyres @ Rs. 3500 each.

after 31K km, JK tyres have started showing there true colors. One of the tyre is getting bald from the middle and another tire is getting faded side ways, even after regular Alignment/balancing and rotation. That caused painful vibration in steering and pedals.

Now there is good tread still left on tyres, but both Tyre wala and MAS declared it as tyre problem.

I am looking for some less costly and long lasting options for four tyres. Michelin and Yokos are very costly more 7.5K per tyre. And they are more softer tyres.

I saw Bridgestone Potenzia GIII today and liked the pattern and they are available in 205/60R16. I feel they are more suited for gravel/snow/mud kind of driving than Michelin, but I might be wrong as I know least about tyres.

Please suggest me something and any shop in NCR which can provide good deal.

Potenza GIII is a noisy tyre, look for other options. Michelins/ Yoko are fit for Indian roads and you should not worry.

Check BK Tyres in Lajpat Nagar (New Delhi), they stock all brands.

Try the Acelere. Should be well priced as well.

Goodyear Assurance - a relatively "uninteresting" and economical tyre but is a good workhorse.
For the shop you could try "Wheels World" Near Aardee City - Gurgaon

Apollo Acelere. Good tire, cheap and long lasting. No exceptional handling or braking abilty. Just plain old good tire with strong sidewalls

As I always say, JK is the worst tyre I have ever come across. I got 4 out of 5 JK tyres replaced under warranty (after a lot of hassle with the company engineer) of my Scorpio.

Apollo is highly recommended by the resellers too.
