I have been using 185/60 NCT5 Goodyear for past 70,000 km on my indica turbo. Everything else is ok but my rear tyres touch the suspensions when there are 3 people sitting on the rear seat. As most of the time I am alone in the car, I donot have any problem. I am using Aura C2455 alloy wheels. Can some ne give me a solution to this problem.

185/60 will give you a sidewall height close to that of stock. If you are touching sidewalls at this size, it means that your suspension needs work.
70,000 kms? Well thats the normal time your suspension lasts if you drive on bad roads.
New dampers on all 4 tires are a good idea around 75K kms on the odo.
The cost will be around 3000rs if you get it done from outside.

Dampers replacement at 75K? Well almost all cars require dampers replacement around that mileage. Dampers like moving parts have a limited life.
running on smooth surfaces mostly will extend damper life.
People who drive on very bad roads can barely get more than 60K from their dampers

Hello All. Please Help me-

The 195/60-14 GoodYear Ducaros on my baleno have lasted all of 30 K kms and are like slicks now. I'm looking to change them and have zeroed in on either Apollo Aceleres or Yoko ES 100 (1st choice).

Am on a tight budget and can't afford anything more than 12-14k max for 4 tyres.

I liked the Ducaro's outright grip and ride quality but were pretty noisy and also too soft. Tons of punctures and one of the sidewalls tore hitting a rock, forcing me to use a tube. Didn't last too long. Were bald by 28k, just kept nursing them till now.

Ok, In my budget- 3-3.5k per tyre, do I have any other 'Performance tyre' worth considering? In one of the other tyre threads, I read that the ES100 were "old now" and better products in the same price range were introduced by Yokohama.

Wot about Bridgestone potenzas and Michelins?

I'm quite an enthusiastic driver and am more focussed on outright grip- esp. wet weather, yet would like slightly stronger sidewalls. Roads on the mountains here are not too good.

What would You all advise?
PS- Where in Kolkatta can i get the Yokos and/or any other good tyres? Telephone numbers?? Am due to go there 1st week of March. Kolkatta BHp members? please Help.

If you want same size in that budget, then Yoko may be more expensive than Apollo.
Check around in a few shops. however I suspect that prices may be higher in sikkim.

I think you wear tires quickly due to twisty roads. Therefore a harder compound is better for you.

Apollo is not a soft tire(the standard acelere) but don't have any idea about the E100.

Ducaro is a soft tire, thats why it became slick so soon.
