Hi Guys , I am about to complete 30000 km soon and wish to upgrade my tyres. The tyres currently fitted are 175/65 R14

However I have heard that changing the tyre size would do good to the handling of the car.

Some people recommended 185/60 R14 while some recommended 195/60 R14

Please Tell Me what tyres should I go for. The Tyres i want should be a max Rs 3000 Per Tyre

Thanks

go for 195/60 r14. i think micheling xm1 would be fine because IMO yoko es100s nor potenza g3s make sense now that theyre out of production.

hey,

Perfect upsize for city vtec is 195/60-14 on stock alloys. If you want to spend on alloys, you could look upgrading to 15 inchers.

if you want pure grip and is okay with low tyre life i.e. around 25K blindly go for Yokos ES100. I'm not sure if S-drives are available in the size.
Let me warn you that they are extremely soft tyres and you might face some burst tyres as well but they hold road like anything

For comfort, even I'm awaiting suggestions :) but I guess Michelin Energy XM1 would be a nice option in 195/60-14 size.

Naman

Will I have to change my alloys also. The Original Ones.?

nope. 195s will fit comfortably on them.

Abhinav, Since you are from Delhi, talk to iraghava, you will get everything right from advice to a good deal from him.

PM him right away

3000 per tyre difficult task....

195/60 r14
MICHELIN 3800
YOKO 3400(ES100 and A.drive)

Getting B&W 195/60 R14 at that price is going to be almost impossible. I think you might be able to get some options from the grey market.

If your a performance driver man I suggest the yokohama S drive's over the michelin xm's.
If your from delhi go to autopsyche , I suggest.

EDIT : oops just saw your budget.Presume your not completely performance oriented : ]

Really ? I was positive that they are available in that profile. 195/60 - sure I heard that size for S drives.
Anyone confirm?

195/60 R14 not available in S-Drive's, only in ES100.

Apollo Aceleres 195/60-14 - 3150 per tyre. Thats the best u can get with that budget.

I would still buy the bridgestone g 3's potenza over the xm1 /apollo s any day.

'07 stock still available and it is available in 195/60/14

i would suggest, try to extend budget by rs.500 per tire and go for the michelin xm1's.they cost 3500 per tire for 195/60R14.They have good grip, really good comfort and are extremely silent....perfect for the honda city.
I am running on the same tire size and brand in my NHC vtec,
