Just bought the Yokohama A-Drive at Rs.3250 a piece including Tax. And guess what. i am so worried if i did the right thing. Just wanted to get a few reviews from users / experts. PLease also advice on precautions during running in.

My initial experience is that the tyre noise is very less. Grip too seems to be good though i have not tested it at higher speeds.

What't the size? Is it for your palio?

Its 195/70 R14.

Though its 195 it looks thinner than the Michelin XM1 195. Any idea how that can happen.

I have been using A-Drives on my Palio MJD, it has been close to 3500kms on them.

The tyre noise is very less as compared to the stock ones, much more comfortable as compared to stock ones, braking has improved on its head, steering has become a lot lighter, handling has improved a lot at high speed corners.

I ran the tyre in for about first 200kms.

The 100+kmph speed performance has been really good, I almost daily do 130s-140s and I feel a lot more confident about the car on the whole after the change from the stock ones.

It has to do with the thread pattern I guess.

Even for a 15" profile, the Michelin MXV8s look thicker than the A-Drives.

Been using the A.drives on my Esteem for some months now. Upgraded from the stock 155/80 R13 GoodYears to 175/70 R13. Though I kinda regret upgrading...

The tyres are great though. Less noise, better grip and more comfort.

Been using A-Drives (165/65 R13) on my Indica for six months now. The tyres are very good, much better than the OEM Goodyears it came with.

Noise is very low. Grip is very good, even under hard driving. The tyres look pretty good too.

Rest assured, you have made a good investment.

did some research online and here is what i got regarding the a Drives

A Drive seems to be the base version from Yokohama made for comfort and economy. Isnt that the same thing that the XM1 offers. If these tyres perform as promised i think they are real good VFM considering the savings of about half a tyre when you buy 4.

I plan to get the A drives in 175/70/R13 for my Ikon this week. Cost about 2700-2800 bucks a piece. Hope its the right choice.

^^^Go for it Eddy... I got mine for Rs. 2700 each, few months ago. They are cheaper than Michelins... and perhaps equally good (haven't actually compared though).

The compound is quite soft however. So not sure how much they would last if you drive over bad roads.

I have a feeling that they will outlive my car. I hope I am wrong though, its much cheaper replacing tyres :D

Been using A drives on the swift for month now. No comparision with the stock JKs. Very happy with them especially on the braking.

More than a month and 1600 kms done on my A-Drives. I would really recommend these tires as completely VFM in the 15" segment.

I put A-drives on my Altis soon after delivery last month. Cant comment much as it has been barely 700kms on them. I did upsize and was afraid the super silky toyota steering would get stiffer but it did not make any difference. Pretty good ride and grip too.

Have you guys felt that the A-drives are a little on the harder side. I feel its very hard as i can feel every unevenness on the road and the noise when the car jumps into a pothole is slightly disturbing. The tyre rolling noise is very less though. I have put 30psi in all four.

Anyone else felt that these are very hard tyres?
