Tyre rotation
(
https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/tyre-alloy-wheel-section/7480-tyre-rotation-3.html)
google tyre rotation diagram & you get this. dont understand the point of this thread ?
sorry
I dont understand
because when and where does the spare wheel come into play
it has to, if all the 5 tyres are to worn in, evenly and over time
that is why I requested a diagram or atleast a description of which tyre goes where, during rotation. I'd like to learn this from the expertise available on teambhp

The query persists.....
Potenza GIII's after 12k kms need to be rotated. Its a 5 wheel rotation plan.
IN this thread, there was talk abt not using the cross-rotational method if the tures are unidirectional in nature.
Hence am confused.....
Will appreciate a response....please.

Is your spare tyre also GIII..?
Yes. The spare is also a GIII.

Let the spare tyre remain in the boot and rotate the four tyres as shown in my previous post.
Thank you.
Does that mean that, unlike the 5-tyre rotation plan used by other riders, the GIII spare tyre is nothing but a - 'True Spare'.:D
And to be used only in cases of emergency or to replace any of it's worn out cousins oon rims.

I have done about 20,000 kms in my Swift VXI (Non-ABS) with the stock tyres. Recently completed the 20K service. I want to know a few things about Tyre Rotation
1) Is this the right time to do a tyre rotation?
2) At what intervals should a tyre rotation be done?
3) Order of rotation?
Cheers!!!
Note to Mods - If the information exists in some thread, please merge this with that. I searched the forum and couldn't find any.
1 & 2) Tyre rotation is to be done every 5000kms. So 20k kms seems like a perfect time to get it done.
3) There are 2 ways - one is 5-wheel rotation including the spare tyre also. And the other is 4-wheel rotation which does not include the spare wheel.
Your manual will have the order of rotation for both ways.
BTW, during your 5K km service, they will do tyre rotation normally.

But I just finished the 20K service two weeks ago. And I am not sure if the tyre rotation was done or not. Forgot to ask :Frustrati
So should I just go in for a tyre rotation or do it myself?
I don't think you will be intimated by the service guys when they rotate the tyres, it's part of the service after 5K kms as they use to change the engine oil and filter for the first service, hence you don't have to bang your head :) , cool it, if you would like to confirm you may always ask them the next time you visit.
@Kingshan - Thanks mate will ask them the next time.
In the mean time with full enthu and thinking that the Service Centre guys haven't done the tyre rotation, I tried to DIY the rotation and when I saw the spare, figured out that the rotation has indeed been done stupid:.
So now onto the next thing - Have to remove all the little stones stuck in the tyre grooves.
