Balsa Cars - Handcrafted scale models of Vintage cars

At the recent Mahabaleshwar drive I heard about someone making custom built scale models of vintage cars, made to order.

http://www.balsacars.com/

On the website I can see some familiar cars like the Buick, Cadillac and Stutz from the Titus collection, the Singhania's Rolls amongst others.

The description reads

Quote:
Balsa Cars are scale replicas carved from the finest balsa wood. I offer customized hand crafted models of your most favorite and loved vehicles - that vintage beauty which has been in your family for generations, that prized possession(s) that turns heads wherever she goes or that car you dream to get your hands on one day. And if you want more - motorbikes, ships, carriages or planes, I can make scale models of them too.
Each scale model is carefully, painstakingly and lovingly handcarved by me with the greatest attention to detail. Each model is made exactly as per your requirements and as such no two models are alike. Each scale model comes with a display case, packed in its own custom packing. Thus in this age of mass production, what you get is a one of a kind collectible.
Attention to detail seems impressive, though there is no mention on the website regarding the sizes offered, or on costs.

Attention to detail is very impressive indeed!

I'm surprised how he has been able to craft some of the finer details (rims, grill etc for example) onto wood! Truly a work of art!

Pricing might be on the higher side as it should involve a lot of manual labour, and what you get is a one-off piece and not something mass-produced for the world.

WOW.

Did you make them from kits readily available , or from planks of Balsa?

Any pictures? can I ask if you sell them?

I would love to place orders for vintage working model aircrafts like the spitfires hurricanes messerschmitt lancasters Vulcan etc

from where do you source miniature engines?
