This was my first time at the Cartier event, and I found it to be great experience, met so many friends and some great enthusiasts.

The ambiance was great, weather was perfect, display was great and the cars were awesome, some great cars which we would not get to see. Most of the cars were in great great shape and that is an inspiration to budding enthusiasts.

I have over 300 pictures but sharing just three, as most have been shared by Karl and Pavan.

This was the most beautiful machine IMHO.

The Steyr has what is popularity called a Fat man steering, its not an adjustable steering. It basically swings out for ease of entry and exit from the car.

Hi Bulldogji,

Whenever there is a detailed post event report - as this wonderful one created by Karl - it's always released in a new thread (with the older one closed). This has been the case for all events, not just classic cars. To give you some examples, the Mumbai Supercar Parade, India Bike Week, Bangalore Annual OTR, Valley Run Drag Races etc. You will remember that the 21 Gun Salute Rally Report also had its own thread.

Reasons:

- More enthusiasts will catch the report when its on the 1st page of a thread (rather than being buried on the 4th page of a 10 page thread). If you ask me to put a number to it, I'll say 10x the number of petrol-heads will enjoy the report if it's as a new thread.

- A lot of BHPians & guests only check new threads on the forum (i.e. the 'new topics' search function on our navbar). Thus, they won't even know that the report has indeed been uploaded.

Selected owners have already begun to be told which of their cars are to be entered in the next Cartier bash, 2017 rumoured to be held this time in south India.
