The below picture was shared by a friend (Rohit Dutta) of mine on whatsapp group. No further details are available except that this is India and WW era with the elephant mascots being used as a camouflage.

Can any one get us more details.

The elephant mascot is a trick used by the army to give enemy reconnaissance pilots an impression that a herd of elephants are moving, while underneath it is the military vehicles that move. Its a way of mobilizing armed battalions for warfare.

I believe that the same trick is still being used even today in the army.
