On behalf of the Mysore Vintage & Classic Cars Club, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for allowing us to be a part of the KVCCC Dasara Vintage Car Rally. It was a privilege and an honour to participate in such a prestigious event.
An added bonus - it was nice to finally match faces to TeamBHP IDs.

Blast from the past:

In the summer of 1996, KVCCC participated in a car rally organised in Chennai. It was one of our initial outstation trips. 2 cars went for the drive; Ashwath's Morris Eight convertible, now with Shashi Gundu Rao, and Nandu's 1927 Ford Model A.

In Aswaths car Ravikumar and Jaikumar were there. Jaikumar drove one way to Chennai and Natraj who joined Chennai drove the car back

We had some thrills and spills, including Nandu's car catching fire in the foyer of a luxury hotel in Chennai. But the car was not too worried and started immediately afterward. We drove in the rally, and drove back to Bangalore in the same car!

We left in the afternoon and halted in the KSTDC guest house in Mulbagal, en route to Chennai the next day. Hard to imagine how empty the two lane road was!

Blast from the past: The KVCCC Windsor Manor Rally 2000, which was flagged off from Windsor Manor and proceeded to Whitefield Club, with parking on MG Road.

At that time, the car was with Nandagopal, our long standing member and former Honorary Secretary

The event also had a costume competition, which was won hands down by this team of Mafiosi driving a large American car. They did not talk or smile even once during the entire event, keeping up appearances till the very last!

I still remember being facinate by that Mercedes 170V with it's rare cabriolet body style. I have vivid memory of that car.
