Re: Have a Carnival & Seltos | Need a 3rd car for local errands

Thank You! It is because of your experience that the i20 is not standing in my designated parking slot at this moment. I have no regrets. The fronx is better than the i20 in every aspect as I have examined it.

By OEM quality in fit and finish I mean the quality of seats which would come from say a Kia or a Hyundai's factory. Not what they offer at the dealership. I don't mind paying a premium if the leather (faux, I know) is of equivalent quality of my Seltos or Carnival or from the Cruze/Safari/EcoSports I have previously owned.

I have no idea of any such event and if it is on a weekend/holiday, I'll spend it with my family.

Isn’t this a bit contradictory? Can you explain how you classify something as Indian and “phoren”.

P.S. Just realised that you have booked the Fronx. That’s a good choice!

I have Autoform covers (with a slit in the side for airbags) on my Baleno Alpha. They have excellent fit and finish. So good infact a lot of people thought they were OEM factory seats. I would however suggest to get perforated seat covers. The no holes covers are a nightmare in hot humid weather.

I would classify Mercedes, BMW, Audi as the likes of phoren costing north of 50L. Mahindra and Tata are truly as Indian as it can get but I am not getting these brands as, in my past experiences with these companies, they treat customers as lab specimens and if, God forbid, something adverse happens and you need service, you're left at the mercy of their every fleecing ASCs. The company won't stand up for you.

On the other hand, Kia, Ford, Chevrolet, etc, go that extra mile to resolve issues if they are brought to the knowledge of the company. This will be my first Suzuki (for personal use) and hopefully, I'll not be disappointed.

I speak of this from experience as over the past 10 years, I have owned over 20 vehicles, both personal and for work (tourism related). Hyundai, Maruti, Renault, Toyota, Ford, Chevrolet and Tata. Tata, I have sworn that I will not buy them anymore. Renault has disappointed me but the others have been more or less satisfactory.

Can you please provide me with some contacts if they're from NCR?

I would recommend you to get the Autoform Seat Covers. I have too installed them in my 2022 Toyota Glanza G AMT(6 airbags) with slit made on the sides for the side airbags. They are of superb quality and that too feel like OEM. For reference you can watch the below YouTube video for seeing the fit and finish of the covers.
Additionally if you want the contact details kindly PM me I will share it with you. In my case the installer came to my house for installation(for a nominal charge) after I chose the covers through WhatsApp.

Maruti has gloss black colour option for all their models as part of their 40th Anniversary celebration. So that means, you can get a Black coloured Fronx if you want.

Re: Have a Carnival & Seltos | Need a 3rd car for local errands

Your query reminded me of an old friend who had his confusion between an S Class, E Class, Superb and an i20! This was in 2008! It is always interesting to see people open to choosing from a large range of cars as options across different segments. Congratulations on your choice. Wish you many happy and safe miles!
