I would go for VW Virtus in this range.
Our family owns a Taigun and it has been running fabulously. Dark coloured variants of Virtus are to die for in the looks department.
Our car has crossed 30000 Kms mark recently, in its third year, but there are no rattles or squeaks.
Interiors are aging well with constant care. The only problem I face in VW is that the AC recirculation switch keeps going off automatically which leads to outside air and dust coming in.
The stiff ride quality provides precise driving experience. We find it stiff but not uncomfortable. For reference, our cars generally run on 34 PSi tyre pressure.
Our experience with VW has been amazing.
Jeep not so much. Plus the Compass now feels a little outdated. Personal POV.
Even though I am a hardcore Toyota Fan, I am against Hycross which feels flimsily built.

Well I guess you are in luck.
Kia have changed quite a lot with facelift.

The suspension now is quite nice, they have removed the earlier stiffness it had.
Can’t comment on the steering feel.
They also added the Panoramic Sunroof and a few more features.

Also the cabin feels more upmarket now as compared to pre-facelift.
